The serial transmission of Rycoia have been famous the universe over since Lorv first traveled to the planet and opened trade with other sentient civilizations. While they wait for news of the epic battle, an ancient power calls to them, a power that was pivotal to the formation of the Coven.

Welcome everyone to the 2026 Annual Issue! Today, I am proud to present the conclusion of one of my favorite serials of the Fonlands era, Mmoatia’s Greatest Hits. It started with Pultine’s Greatest Hits, when we devoted the entirety of the 2023 Interim Shorts period to the history and exploits of Pultine, and her hits continued in Volume 3. Next was Tracia’s Greatest Hits that were featured in the 2024 Interim Shorts and continued in Volume 4; they concluded in the 2025 Interim Shorts with Tracia’s Greatest Hits – 5 – XO. Ahdis’s Greatest Hits were featured in the 2025 Interim Shorts and concluded in Volume 5 with Multiversal Family Tree – Ahdis’s Greatest Hits – 6 – Some Unholy War.
We designed Mmoatia’s Greatest Hits to read like an anthology of one character. In the case of Pultine, each interim short, and for Ahdis and Tracia each issue, tells a long form story that ends, and the next interim short or issue moves to a different period in the main character’s life that continues certain aspects of the narrative, but fills out a new section of the character’s history. It was a chance to expand the history of our favorite characters, the mmoatia, while doing considerable world building. Over the course of many interim shorts, issues, and two annuals (Mmoatia’s Greatest Hits (2023 Annual) – Issue 1 – Strings and Mmoatia’s Greatest Hits (2025 Annual) – Issue 2 – All This Time), we’ve explored the many planets of universe Prime 5, the complexities of the jungles and forests of the Disc of Agê, and the wonders of the Deep and the Deep Ocean. The Death Witch Coven debuted in this serial and they have become a consequential group in the narrative as we make our way to the end. The mmoatia have been the backbone of the Fonlands era thanks to the Greatest Hits and the Divine Essence serials.
This last annual of the Fonlands era coincides with the last of the Mmoatia’s Greatest Hits. We’ve covered the first three mmoatia to emerge from the Disc of Agê, and today’s annual revolves around the fourth, Lorv of the Rocky Forests. Lorv was the Supreme Explorer of the Aerphim Empire, the society of angels who ruled many of the beings of Prime 5 and had their sights set on Earth. Like Pultine and Ahdis, Lorv’s story straddles two existences, as today’s annual demonstrates. We will travel from the Disc of Agê to the planet Rycoia in the depths of Prime 5 to uncover a secret history of both existences that Lorv keeps as a Supreme Mmoatia and a Mystic of Fytor. Lorv appears in nearly all of the annuals in this issue and we designed it to be her Greatest Hits as we uncover more about the Purple Mysticisms of Rycoia.
The planet Rycoia is a fairly recent addition to the extended lore we’ve created over the twelve volumes of the PRL Serials. Rycoia is new, but it’s been mentioned in many serials including Zacchaues’s story when he was on Bludon of universe Prime 5 (The Deft Hands of Zacchaeus – Black&Blue – Issue 5 – Deemed Worthy) and Sarah’s story in the Paradise universe (Multiversal Family Tree – Bright Lives – Issue 6 – A Secret History). Rycoia has a rich history, it maybe the most ancient civilization of Prime 5, and because of its longevity, it has many secrets.
This annual issue is a celebration of Lorv who discovered Rycoia for Prime 5 and the Fonlands.
I don’t want to give too much away in this introduction, the stories featured in this issues are very entertaining in my opinion, so you don’t need me summarizing anything here, but I do want to talk about the Mystics of Fytor. They have appeared before in previous stories, but this is the issue where you can learn the most about them. I don’t think it’s a spoiler to tell you a little history about the Mystics both in the narrative and in their development. Fytor is a city of Rycoia, so the Mystics are of the city Fytor where they are based, but they travel the planet, and the greater Rycoian planetary systems.
My pitch for the Mystics was based on a viewing of Black Clover with one of my daughters who is a huge fan of anime. I grew up on Dragon Ball and Cowboy Bebop, but I’m not the biggest consumer of anime at the PRL (that would be Roy). I have tried to watch other anime over the years, but I think I was always looking for something like Dragon Ball and never really gave anything else a chance. But I enjoyed Black Clover, my Dragon Ball bias is gone because it’s been so long so I’ve watched it.
If you don’t know the story, basically it’s about an orphan named Asta who is born without magic in a world where everyone is born with magic. Despite his lack of magic, Asta is determined to become the Wizard King, the most powerful magic-user in the world. Asta’s story is inspirational for obvious reasons, but I like the magic system of the show where magic users obtain grimoires, join factions, and adventure to help others in various ways. That’s the spirit we imbued into the Mystics of Fytor. Give it a watch if you have the time, and enjoy the Annual!
