Hello, dear readers! It’s PRL Day and we’re happy to celebrate the 12th birthday of the Parallel Serials with you all! This year, the PRL Fonlands Saga is working it’s way to the exciting, final conclusion as the heroes of the PRL multiverse join efforts to stop Une from consuming everything. It’s been a real joy going back to the Hyperion universe that started it all and discussing the impact of the new threat in characters we’ve been writing for over a decade. The fun part of that is filling in the blanks for these characters who’ve been absent for a while. In the current series for Kevin, the Stolid Kevin Blackmon, we’ve learned that in the years since the Fhetat War, the presence of Druintes on Earth has increased, and the Consortium of Human History is no longer the Earth’s representative to the Interstellar Panel. Kevin worked with the IP as a corpsman along with Nebuchad Abed and others to protect the universe.
In addition to it being the birthday of the PRL Serials, today is also the day for 2026 Annual Issue, and this year’s annual is unlike any other. Sure, we’ve done interludes in the past, but this year is all about the beautiful and enigmatic Purple Mysticisms of Rycoia. It’s Lorv’s Greatest Hits, but told through eight Annual issues. Lorv is the aboatia who knows universe Prime 5 better than any other Fonlander and a secret she learned from the Mystics of Fytor is finally boiling over.
