Description: Age’s first deck is designed to be difficult to remove from the Smiting grid. The Age’s First Smiting Deck Set can be used to play the game of Plant independent of the game of Smiting. Her first deck contained only beings of her disc.
The 5 Platonic solids, Dice, are called a tetrahedron, hexahedron, octahedron, dodecahedron and icosahedron with 4, 6, 8, 12, and 20 sides respectively.
To play Plant with this set, the deck contains the correct number of duplicate cards required of each card.
Each player rolls a D20 to start and the player with the lowest roll deals the cards to start play. The dealer should rotate clockwise at the end of each round. The deck of cards is shuffled and dealt between 2 and 5 players. The player to the right of the dealer starts play by placing two Exemplar cards of different types face up in front of them. The next player, going clockwise, does the same, and if their cards ombined Growth Score is higer than the previous player, then they become the plant. The next player plays two cards face up and the current plant is determined, and so on until play comes back to the first player. On their second turn, the first player will place two cards from their hand on top of the cards on the table, but the Growth Score of the placed cards must be higher on the card to the player’s right, the Ascend Pile, and lower on the card to the player’s left, the Descend Pile. After placing two cards accordingly, the player can then place a third card from their hand on any of their opponent’s cards regardless if it is on the Ascend or Descend pile, but the player must continue their Ascend or Descend pile based on the new card. A player must play a card in their Ascend or Descend pile if they are able, but if they do not have cards to Ascend or Descend, then they must discard a card in to their own Discard pile. A player is not required to place a third card on an opponent’s pile after their first turn. A player can play Enhance cards as dictated on the Encance card, which means some Enhance cards will be played on a players turn or in response to an opponents action. Enhance cards go into the player’s discard pile.
Play continues until all players have no cards. To score the round, each player get a point for each card in their Ascend and Descend piles, but subtracts cards from their Discard, including Enhance cards played.
Some Exemplar cards have abilities that alter the count and players should be mind of them when counting points for the round.
A player wins when they reach 60 points, or a score predetermined by all players involved.
