Description: Lêgba’s first deck is all about the various forms that the Endlanders of his Disc can assume. The Lêgba’s First Smiting Deck Set can be used to play the game of Mutability independent of the game of Smiting.

The 5 Platonic solids, Dice, are called a tetrahedron, hexahedron, octahedron, dodecahedron and icosahedron with 4, 6, 8, 12, and 20 sides respectively. 

To play Mutability the deck contains the correct number of duplicate cards required of each card. The game is ideal for 3-6 players. The deck contains Exemplar (Iteration, Death Dealer, Griot, Gatekeeper, Voyager, Sorcerer, Medium) and Enhance (Revelation, Nightmare, Diviner, Mimic) cards, all of which constitute the game deck, and Material cards that can be used to determine a winner in the betting version of the game. Each player rolls a D6 and the highest roll chooses the dealer for the game (in the betting version, the dealer rotates to the left each subsequent game). The dealer shuffles the deck and each player is dealt six cards a card at a time face down. Place the deck in the middle of the table accessible to each player.

The deck contains 6 Exemplar cards that are Iterations of Lêgba. The iterations have very strong abilities that can change the outcome of the game. 

The player to the left of the dealer goes first. At the start of the turn, player draws a card from the face down deck and decides which cards from their hand to discard; players can discard 1 card per hand, but can only draw one card from the deck. Players cannot have more than six cards in hand. Discarded cards are placed face up so that all players can see discarded cards. If a player had less than 6 cards in hand after drawing and discarding, they can take the last card that was discarded, they cannot take any other discarded card even if they still have less than 6 cards in hand. 

After drawing and discarding for the turn, a player can play an Enhance card according to the directions on the card before they pass the turn to the next player. 

Play continues this way until a player declares that they want to play an iteration card only on their turn. The player reveals their iteration, and then reveals their hand. If another player has an iteration card in hand, it loses its abilities that affect other players cards, and the player who has it can choose if those effects apply to their cards only if the Iteration says that it impacts all player’s hand or just the players hand; if the iteration only says that it impacts opponent cards in hand, then it cannot be used on the players own hand . 

To win the game a player constructs a hand that contains as many of one Exemplar type as possible. If a player has a hand with 3 1Exemplars and 2 2Exemplars, and another player has 4 3Exemplars, then the player with 4 of one single type of Exemplar wins. If players have the same number of any given exemplar, then the player with at least a pair of another Exemplar wins. Ties are won by the player with the most copies of a single or multiple Exemplars.

Iteration cards have the unique ability to change the Exemplar type of all cards, just an opponent’s cards, or just the cards of the player who plays it. The Iteration displays their abilities, just like the Enhance Cards.
