Childhood Fears

By

Time to Read:

1–2 minutes

It seems illogical now

The fears of the past

Like, how could someone

Be lurking in your closet

Some monster prowling

Behind closed doors

Chops dripping and lips smacking

Tasting your legs and flesh

How could a spider seize you

Taunt you with oozing poisons

Inches from your face

In a world-sized web

It is so illogical now

Flesh loving zombies

Vampires and their blood lust

It is so illogical

You have left those fears behind

And sleep alone in dark rooms

Now more afraid of the solitude

Closed doors do not haunt

It is the emptiness
