It’s that time again. The Interim Shots are here to wet your appetite for the spectacular Volume 4 of the PRL Serials that is just around the corner. Volume 4 of the Serials will return to the Fonlands and Universe Prime 5, but before we get there, we go back to the Dark Universe where Zacchaeus is coping with a terrible loss. He is content to sulk in despair, but the winds of adventure are full on his back and his journey over the next month will propel him into an exciting future. Zacchaeus would do good to Look Ahead, his future is full of wonders that he and the Needy have only begun to explore.
Wesley is up first with an except from the Manual and Reference of the Fonlands. Last Volume was a celebration of fantasy role playing games, and it turns out that some of the Vodun enjoy a trading card game, or something spectacular that resembles a trading card game. It seems that we here at the PRL have embraced fantasy nerd culture as we get deeper into our epic tale through the Fonlands, replacing Marvel comic books with a D20 and Magic the Gathering cards. There is much more to the culture, of course, but Wesley is a high level Magic player and I have vowed to hone my skills and beat him. I’m building a black deck to end him, but he has the newer black and white deck with a stupid amount of life buffs and creature incubating that drives me crazy. I am grateful that Magic Arena exists, it’s good practice, but I can’t replicate my physical decks with my virtual ones and that’s frustrating not to be able to practice virtually with a deck that I could build with the cards I have.
Let me reign in my nerd and wrap this up. I almost forgot why I came here. Look Ahead, the 2024 Interim Shorts are starting… … … … … …now.
