PRL Crossover Event:
DEUS EX MACHINA
Epilogue
After gifting Anes the three spiders empowered by three of his powerful siblings, Anansi enjoyed the waters of the Quinspace Atlantic. Time seemed to fly and by the time he thought to check on the exploits of Anes, it was about a month later and she had already failed in her plan. He regained interest just in time to see the spider Anat return the green energy to Ivan and Clay, and he searched for Anes, unable to find her immediately. And then he saw her, collapsed and defeated.
He decided to end her quickly as a mercy to the spider who had proven herself unworthy of his effort, and he ground her into dust, erasing her from the Quinspace.
Then he turned his attention to Anat, with whom Anansi was very unfamiliar. Just as he was about to descend on her location, she disappeared from existence. He stopped, stunned by the suddenness of it all, and he had to collect himself.
The entire ordeal had shown him that he was ready to pass his station, his influence, on to someone else, like Ikto’mi had with Inktomi. He was almost as old as the universe itself, and it is not unreasonable for him to crave an end to whatever duties he feels to the other spiders of the Quinspace. Anansi and his siblings were like Gods, or spiritual leaders, to the spiders of the Quinspace who were their descendants and Anansi appreciated that he was listened to and respected, but maybe it was time for someone else to enjoy the privilege.
Anes had shown a lot of potential and he was angry in his disappointment. He decided to leave Quinspace Earth for a while, content to let the stiff world beings enjoy the power that Anes had not proven worthy to wield. He left the gifts that he had given to Anes to whatever fate befell them in the stiff world, and he chuckled that the spiders he had created with aspects of his siblings’ powers could create chaos among the beings there. It would complicate the machinations of the stiff world beings with the horns who occupied the Quinspace, the Ascendant, Anansi knew, though he was not fully aware why they intervened as they did on Earth. He would find out and he would expose their plans to his siblings and the other Quinspace beings who still cared about their conflict. In the meantime, Anansi spun parachute-like constructs from his webbing that allowed him to depart Earth.

Ivan and Clay are restored to their recognizable selves, but Clay seems to have second thoughts. The life of a hero is chaos and the saying is true, the one about power and responsibility.
Complex Repulsion (Diode Bk. 3): “When it was gone, Clay felt anger, but it never manifested as something that exploded from his body and that he could not keep a handle on. It was just anger and when he growled to express that anger, and no trees shook, no birds were disturbed from their nests.”

Things get tragic at the IBF as we say goodbye to the doctor who was introduced back in Volume II. Alia has frank words with Eakran and he is willing to share his vast knowledge of the universe, but Alia finds herself in an unexpected situation.
Alia (Amazing Alia, the Alia Bk. °): “Alia stares at the body of Dr. Frederick Cousins on a cadaver table and in a body bag that is zipped open. Aile, Giovanni, and Eakran are there, as well, and they stare on solemnly, Eakran with visible tears in his eyes.”

Whatever happened to Adam and Manuel, the two NC State Police officers who fought the zombies in the police force alongside Ivan, Clay, and Detective Young? Find out here, but fair warning, the answer will take you through the dark parallel of existence. It’s an Adam 2 for 1 as we continue the dark story and debut the PRL Heroes Series Alt-Adam in the quirky PRL way that we do.
Strange Man in a Strange World (Man Enough to Evolve Series 2) / Alt-Adam (One-Shots): “But I still have my job and my regrets, and even in this dark time, I wonder if I should be married by now, sharing my life with someone. This new time has taught me that it’s not enough to evolve, I’d been forced into that by the new world order, hardered to kill without second thought to protect myself from a world that forced everyone to literally fight for their lives or perish.”

The Quinspace is mysterious, but we are piecing it together, learning more about it everyday. I’d like to spectate the Tournament of Champions, it sounds very entertaining.
Tales from the Quinspace Series 3: “Interaction with the Quinspace can be mistaken for something else. It can seem as though one is experiencing a hallucination, or seeing things that others in the same physical location cannot. It can feel like being visited by an other worldly being; some beings of the Quinspace have learned to dwell in the physical realm of existence, or to at least make themselves seen…”

VIV goes deeper into the drug world of the PRL Universe. Learn the origins of the legendary Fire and see the tragic consequences of choosing such a dangerous life.
Strange Encounters (PRL 2 in 1): “I called the new drug dealer friend that I met in Baltimore Maryland a few months later for a follow up. By that time, he was still working the same alley and I got him to talk about a recent incident of violence that had happened to him.”

The saga of Agent Red continues at the Universal Infirmary, that was conceived by the Ointites of Oin. Frial is gravely wounded, some would say he deserves it, but he is filled with a want for revenge that drives him. Maybe the healing he receives at the Infirmary will give him something else to live for.
Universal Family Tree: “a UI branch is universally considered a safe zone and no weapons or violence is allowed. The Ointite enforce this rule brutally, violators are punished with death in a most excruciating way; the Ointite have telepathic abilities and they can disrupt the brain function of a target at close range and with intense concentration, the results of which often causes multiple hemorrhages or aneurysms. The Ointite are a peaceful people and they do not use their telepathic ability when they are off planet.”
