VOX SINE CORPORE
Universal Family Tree Presents:
70
Sentient beings evolved to be extensions of the creators. We are not necessary in any strict sense, but then, nothing is, is it? And by that logic, we, or whomever, is free to decide what is necessary. We can decide because of our position outside of time, or maybe the universe itself decides what it needs and everything contained within it is evidence of it’s importance therein.
We are on a branch of the tree, Time and Space are our creators. Which is why we can be capable of extraordinary things, such as this astounding feat of engineering that we inhabit and the size changing abilities of our Commander. We are sentient life realizing it’s potential. Harnessing the wonder of the universe for our own purposes. Deciding what is necessary, or interesting, or vital. Playing at the lowercase godhood.

Curse breaking is not the chaotic smashing I imagined it to be. It requires a deft touch, slow concentration, and Wendy will have to be a quick study to rid the city of Charleston of its excess curse energies. Her teacher, Anesuishe, has centuries of experience; she’s been curse breaking since she had a physical body.
The Curse Breaker (The Brave Chimutengwende Limited Series): “There were many traumatic deaths in her time and consequently, many curses roamed the land of Zimbabwe. Her cousin Chenziri, who had died a century before, taught Anesuishe how to scatter the energies of enraged spirits to weaken their influence on the physical realm. She had to focus on them and feel them, draw them towards herself to create an elongated cloud of rage that she would not let touch her form for fear of corruption, but she held the energies while they slowly dissipated.”

It ends here! The first ever PRL Team-Up comes to a close as Ishe reunites with the family he’s been missing. But will things be as he remembered? Plus, Ishe makes a new acquaintance, a powerful man who will help him deal with the menace the Voice has proven to be.
Ishe in the Suck (Isheanesu Team-Up): “They decided that while Wendy and the others worked to scatter the yellow sparks loose in the city, Kyrie and Ishe could turn them off at the source. When Ishe entered Kyrie’s body, the two met in the control room of his mind. It was like the cockpit of an airplane and the view through the front window was the view through Kyrie’s eyes.”

What started out as a quiet evening took a turn for the strange, and then the tragic. Darker is in trouble and Maria can’t help. At least she gets to see Eakran in pain, but it’s a small consolation.
Darker Maria (One Shots): “She cried, she bawled her eyes out. He was gone for good, she thought. This stupid world and all of its changing rules had stolen her friend from her.”

Clay and Ivan are apart, but not for long. Bernadette and her ex Kyrie are lending a hand, and the boys would be wise to pay attention to stories of their elders. It’s true that those who refuse to learn from history are doomed to repeat it.
Complex Repulsion (Diode Bk. 3): “It was well into the next day before Clay and Bernadette could travel to Charleston. Clay was eager to see Ivan alive and well, especially considering that no form of communication worked while the repulsive force was still wedged between them. They could not hear or see one another on phones and Clay could not physically advance any closer to the city than the position he held in Bluffton at the home of his aunt.”

You’ve never met anyone like Alia before. She has survived more than even she knows, and we’re not even talking about the aeonic memory thing. Recently back from a deep dive into her mind, Alia is coping with her new, very blurry reality.
Alia (Amazing Alia, the Alia Bk. °): “Alia was born in a crime scene. A police report was made at the Surry County, North Carolina sheriff’s department and it described in grisly detail the scene of what was presumed to be no more than ten bodies, and the baby girl that was found crying in the bathtub of a remote log cabin.”

Welcome back to the future of the Ascendant, this time in the relative present as they check in on one of their most powerful tools; the Aje.
Universal Family Tree: “In the light realm, where it is very bright and there is a persistent hum that moves everything therein, there are two beings in spacesuits that accommodate their horns. They are both large beings, but their size is nothing compared to the size of the Aje, the raging engine of power that the 140 used to interfere in the prime parallel of reality, in accordance with the Par-Cell Recommendation that established that the Aje was of tantamount importance very long ago. At the center of the enormous ball of power was the Ascendant Aje-yel 134, who had seemingly lost her life ages ago on special assignment to find the realm of light.”
