Druintes cannot easily acclimate to the environment of Earth. In order to be sure that he could survive on the planet once he arrived there, Eakran had to undergo a quarantine from other Druintes. He left the planet Druont completely to live in a section of the ship of the Interstellar Panel. He had been given a section of the ship in order to create a controlled environment that mirrored the atmosphere of the Earth. Druintes breathe oxygen, but the microscopic organisms that populate the planet Druont are vastly different than those found on Earth.
In order to be sure that the microscopic inhabitants of the Earth would not be detrimental to his life, Eakran traveled to the planet Bromeran where he accessed all of the information available about the Earth and its multitudinous species at the Bromeris Ultimate Library. He studied there for many rounts as he assembled species of microbes available to him that resembled life on Earth. Animal species native to the planet Earth are extremely rare in the sector of space where Druont is located, but Eakran’s work to identify similar species was extremely valuable to any being interested in traveling to Earth.
The faux Earth environment that he created was maintained on the ship of the Interstellar Panel and serves as a testament to Eakran’s genius and his unique place in the universe. He is one of a handful of beings with extensive experience with many of the civilizations of the universe and he has contributed to the transplanting of various flora and fauna on many different planets. All of the civilizations in close proximity to the Druintes have established protocols that allows for easy travel between their planets because they have interacted for a long time. Eakran is the first to attempt protocols to allow for travel to Earth.
When he went to live in the faux Earth environment, he carefully documented his acclimation. He had recreated conditions on Earth, in a typical city in the southeast United States because his understanding was than many Africans who most closely shared the features of the Druintes had been taken to the southeast US as slaves. Eakran found the heat and humidity of a typical summer to be mild in comparison to the climate of Druont. He was severely allergic to ragweed, so much so that he experienced inflammation throughout his entire body and he had to leave the faux Earth environment after just a day inside. He developed a permanent antihistamine that also allowed him to process the artificial chemicals that some Earthlings consumed in their food.
He was not lactose intolerant, but he found dairy to be disgusting and he avoided it. He was similarly disgusted by chocolate but figured that he should fein a love for it because it was rare for a human to hate it.
During this time, Eakran also learned to operate his five-fingered prosthetics and he was forced to cut the long nails from his thumbs. He felt strange without them. It was only slightly painful to remove them, but a Druinte without their long nails is like an Earthling without all five of their fingers.
It took almost ten rounts for Eakran to exist naturally in his faux Earth environment. He has not returned to Druont since he left to live in the faux environment.
