This week:

It’s a callback to the Interim Shorts Period as the Master narrates his duties as the bearer of the enchanted decks of the Smiting Chamber.

Master’s Log 2100 (The Master of Multiversal Arcana 1st Tel):  “I’m nervous,” Alia admitted as we flew over the jungle side of Agê’s Disc. “Knowing the Vodun who come to the Smiting Chamber makes it hard to imagine what another one will be like. She’s the Vodun of all that green, it’s like a whole universe down there.”

– – –

And the callback continues as the Master and Alia travel to the Disc of Agê to learn about Agê’s first Smiting Deck and its game, Plant.

Divine Power (acɛ 1st Tel): “Do you really need to play Plant?” Jo asks as she descends on the House of Age. “The Master is here to show you the might of the multiversal structure in a Smiting Exhibition, not just to enjoy a leisurely card game.”

The 4Warriors are united! I mean, I think they are. They’re all in one place at least, or they are for long enough…You know what? It’ll come together when it does. I shouldn’t force it.

Smiting Champs: “The 4Warriors serve the highest aims of the Fonlands and any warrior of honor would be humbled to fight under the mantle.”

We have all heard of the Fonlands, and universe Prime 5. We are even aware of Outer Spacetime and Deads’ Town. But there are so many layers and folds of existence that even those locations barely scratch the surface. Shini has been summoned from seeming oblivion to help Maxx access another place that few have dwelt, which makes it a good hiding place for a deadly weapon.

Codeine Crazy (Âmuk Mini-Tel.): “This dead realm is mostly empty, true oblivion from Shini’s point of view that he can survive because of his abilities as a sorcerer. Other things dwell in that space, the native beings of that realm who are dark purveyors of death that Shini has not encountered in all the centuries of his banishment, but they have been pursuing him across the unfathomable breadth of their existence.”

Whatever is happening with Ariel continues as Ariel gets some help that only confuses things even more for her. Are the trees really talking to her and can she trust what they have to say?

The Time Eater (The Divine Essence 2nd Tel): “’She’s never been here,’ Ariel says to the trees nearby, with their thick trunks and branches carpeted in healthy foliage. Some of the trees agree with her in their way, she feels one that shouts in its way, standing tall among the crowd, and she gives it her attention as she sits in the grass.”

After the naming, there were only three Azizas in all of the Fonlands. One was Obea. Keep reading to meet her sisters.

Star Flower (Cotton-Wood 1st Tel.): “Long ago, Obea left the home that she shared with her sisters Gris and Jual, the only other Azizas born from the random material of Jo’s Disc shortly after the naming of the Discs.”
