All magic has a price and Miriro has been playing with very powerful forces. Bringing the Witch Moon was her biggest triumph, and it will be her undoing.
Witch Moon: “Miriro was in agony that she ignored to enjoy the reverie all around her. Kate and Evelyn stood with her in the center of the clearing for hours as thousands more witches amassed in the woods. They faced the crowd around them, and when they turned inward to look at one another, they all breathed heavily.”

It all comes down to Gregory, the Samin Seer. Newly reunited with his ancestral magic, Gregory is in a position to save the day, but not everyone believes that he will step up to the plate. The terror of the Witch Moon ends here!
Remarkable: “Do you think he can do it?” Clay asked as the lightning shot out of his hands. “I see the way you look at him. I know you get frustrated with us sometimes, but you look at him like you want to strangle the life out of him. You don’t think he can do it, do you?”

Are witches real? I guess that depends on your definition of the word. Maybe a witch is just an outcast that fate and fortune smile down upon during times of extreme duress. If witches are real, are they our friends and neighbors?
Dialogues with the Witch: “I didn’t believe her, I still don’t, but I will admit that I have not set foot in Richmond County, NC. I guess saying I don’t believe her rings very false, it feels false as I write it now. But I can’t say that I believe in witches or witchcraft, not the magical parts of it anyway, the controlling animals of it all. The story of the man witch, his desperate search for immortality that would cost him his soul, hinted at much more than a commune with nature and I can’t say that I believe that stuff because I’ve never seen it or experienced it for myself.”
