Hysteria: It has been fourteen days since seven teams battled in the Melee of Hysteria. And now we gather here on the official octagon at the center of center court, before an esteemed audience, to name the first ever victor in the Dance of Hysteria.
After an impressive display in the Melee, thirteen participants will compete in the tournament. They were seeded at the conclusion of the Melee and the matches have been set.
Matchups for the Dance of Hysteria 1st Round
1. God 14 – Bye
2. Pultine versus 3. Tracia

12. Coffey versus 13. Michael
Hysteria: The rules of the Dance are similar to those of the Melee. A participant will lose their match if they are knocked prone and are not impeded from standing for at least ten seconds, if they go out of bounds, if they die, if they forfeit, or if they intentionally cause the death of another participant. No weapons can be used, but any powers naturally occurring for a participant can be employed. A participant with wings can fly, no tools or inventions can be used by participants to fly. A participant will lose their match if they fall outside of the official octagon and any part of their body touches ground. There is no dome over the octagon, the only out of bounds is touching down outside of the octagon.
Each participant has selected a DR, or designated roller, who will coordinate rolls with the GM.

We are ready to begin.
Game Master: Hysteria has transformed center court into a stadium and most of the participants of the Melee are in attendance along with their guests. The octagon at the center of center court is made of stone, but elevated a few feet from the surface of the court. All thirteen participants stand around center court and Hysteria up on the octagon, turning as her voice echoes out to all in attendance. She gestures for the fighters of the first match to join her on stage, and the others are instantly transported to the stands. The epic first match will involve two Supreme Mmoatia. I wonder how this will go considering they are both essentially fighting for the same thing. Pultine and Tracia are both stunning in their athletic tunics that show off their impressive musculature as they fly up onto the octagon, and they stand across from one another with Hysteria in the center.
2. Pultine versus 3. Tracia
Hysteria: First up is Pultine versus Tracia.
Pultine: It is an honor to meet you here, sister. I have said it before, but emerging from my cocoon to this competition has been a true delight.
Tracia: We have been through a lot and I was glad that your desire for a fighting tournament finally came to fruition. And as a show of my love for you, and my confidence in your abilities, I forfeit this match. You are the strongest of our hive, always have been, and I am honored to watch you fight for the Supreme Mmoatia.
GM: Tracia kneels before Pultine on center court and the Supreme Mmoatia, and affiliated teams from the Melee, spectating in the stands that Hysteria constructed, stand and cheer.
Pultine: I am honored to fight for my sisters and for the honor of beings of this realm.
Hysteria: The winner is Pultine!
GM: That was to be expected, and honestly we should not be surprised if the next couple of matches go the same way. Not the most exciting, but we have to go through the motions of our proceedings. There is a lot at stake, after all.
The Supremes have left the octagon and Hysteria has summoned the next two participants who fly into the octagon. They are both wearing their matching uniforms from the Melee, armored vest with a short skirt above the knees.
4. Empyreon versus 5. Zazel
Hysteria: The second match in the Dance is Empyreon versus Zazel.
Empyreon: I can’t believe we drew each other in the first round. I was hoping to face off with someone from the All Stars.
Zazel: That’s the luck of the draw. Shall we?
Empyreon: No, I don’t think so. Not that it wouldn’t be a rousing battle that would bring everyone in the stands to their feet, but in the spirit of what we just saw from the Supremes, I would like to forfeit as well. This Arbitration isn’t really about fights. I mean, we did a lot of it in the Melee and you have a few more ahead of you, but in the spirit of this competition, you are my leader and I trust in your ability. I want to see you win this for the Children. And I swear if we ever do another one of these, you better have a better name for us.
GM: Empyreon kneels before Zazel who smiles at him. She gestures for him to stand and they hug on center court.
Hysteria: The winner is Zazel!
GM: We’re seeing the changing of participants, as the Aerphim fly off and the All Stars climb up onto the octagon. The size difference between these participants is noticeable to say the least, but these are also teammates from the Melee so I think the smaller of them might take a pass on a fight.
6. Maxx the Superguardian versus 7. Rusa Gawol
Hysteria: Our third match up is Maxx the Superguardian versus Rusa Gawol.
Rusa: I’ll keep this short, big man. Between you and me, you have the better shot against Zazel. And apparently teammates from the Melee don’t actually fight in the Dance…
Hysteria: You can, of course, but it seems that a trend has emerged, so it would be unorthodox at this point.
Rusa: I agree. Go all the way buddy. I forfeit.
Maxx: I will not let my team down. Your confidence in me is well placed.
Hysteria: The winner is Maxx the Superguardian!
