Game Master: As the Melee winds down, Zazel and Empyreon still circle center court.
Empyreon: Any other All Stars we can pick off you think?
Zazel: I think we should get rid of those Umbatia, Agiel says there’s just two left.
Agiel: I vote for you all to take out the Umbatia. Did you see what that All Star Queen did to Jophiel?
Empyreon: I don’t see any Umbatia.
Zazel: Follow me.
GM: The two fly so fast that they leave a blur of two parallel lines behind them, and soon they are on Umbriel and Lofet. Both look tired, like they are struggling to make it to the end of the Melee, and they seem to believe that they have found sufficient cover on the high bridge, but Zazel and Empyreon attack them both. Zazel manages to knock Umbriel out of bounds, but Empyreon hits Lofet hard and he tumbles to the stone floor of center court. Coffey sees his body land and if not for Raius, she would have flown to his side.
Coffey: Is he dead?
Sene: Is he, Hysteria?
Agiel: He better not be, Empyreon.
Empyreon: I didn’t think I hit him that hard.
Zazel: It’s not your fault. He was barely hanging on before we got here.
Hysteria: Contestant Lofet is down, but not dead. He has a few seconds remaining to stand or he will be eliminated.
Sene: Ahdis, tell Coffey to help him. He fighting for y’all.
Ahdis: Raius, why are you holding her back?
Raius: Because it is a trap. Not one set by Empyreon, but by his very observant and resourceful teammate Quabriel.
Ahdis: I see her, she is warping the air around Lofet’s body.
Raius: It’s a similar effect to that Druinte.
Coffey: Are we just supposed to watch him get disqualified?
Raius: They did it. We could go after them.
GM: Raius points up at Empyreon and Zazel, and Coffey flies up to attack them with Raius close on her heels. Empyreon and Zazel fly away fast when they realize that the Supremes are approaching. The four make quick laps around the ring as time winds down.
Pultine flies to confront Quabriel,who notices her before she lands. Quabriel tries to throw a distortion at Pultine to disrupt her mental capabilities, but Pultine stops her by extending a finger. The Mmoatia do not need to send mental commands as Quabriel is attempting, their mental control can be instantaneous with no visual component.
Pultine: We voted not to use these powers in the battle because of the unfair advantage, but you’re doing it, so I’ll make an exception for you. Your Melee is over.
GM: Quabriel flies obediently out of bounds and the Children are down to two.
Hysteria: Lofet has been prone for ten seconds and has been eliminated. There are five minutes left in the Melee.
GM: The participants have been whittled down from 57 to 15. As the last few minutes wind down, Coffey and Raius pursue Empyreon and Zazel in a high speed chase around the court. Tabris becomes a victim of the chase when Coffey slams into him and the two tumble to the ground. Tabris rolls out of bounds, and Raius is there to save Coffey, but there is no one to save him when Metatron fires a bolt of lighting that just misses Coffey and sends Raius out of bounds.
Hysteria: The Melee of Hysteria ends now! All remaining participants, please meet me in the center of center court.
GM: As she finishes her statement to end the competition, Hysteria vanishes from the Game Masters observation room and appears in the center of center court. The remaining participants–including Metatron and the Archangel Michael; three Supreme Mmoatia including Tracia, Pultine, and Coffey; two Children of the Third Sphere, Zazel and Empyreon; and six Prime 5 All Stars, Rusa Gawol, Wielar Realfen, God 14, Maxx, Superguardian of Bludon, Rowen Dar, Queen of Oin, and Cras-myne Re, Despot Fhet King–gather around Hysteria in a circle.
Hysteria: You have all survived and will be seeded in the Dance of Hysteria.
GM: A black box with an open top appears in her hand.
Hysteria: I will ask you all to draw numbers, 1 though 13. The tournament will be seeded 2 versus 3, 4 versus 5, 6 versus 7, 9 versus 10, 12 versus 13, and those seeded 1, 8, and 11 will have an automatic bid to the second round.
Please step forward and draw a number from the box. Metatron, you go first and we will go around from his right.
