Game Master: How are we all feeling now that the majority of the Melee is behind us?

Walo: Should I still be here? I’m not complaining, I like the view of the fights, but the Elders have all been eliminated.

GM: You are definitely welcome to stay. Everyone eliminated is able to spectate, you can too. I can’t imagine there would be any objections.

Sariel: None from me.

Agiel: I like our little commentators group. I hope we can all do this again for the Dance.

Iaoth: There’s no reason you should leave.

Ahdis: Yes, stay and add your opinion to the discussions bouncing around.

Sene: We almost done here, anyway.

Kazi Fandral: Agreed.

GM: We won’t all be together again for the Dance, but some of us, maybe. Hysteria will announce official rules for the Dance soon, but I think each participant will choose a DR, or designated roller. You’ve done that before Agiel.

Agiel: That makes sense for the one-on-one combat.

Walo: I must say that this has been entertaining so far and I’m eager to see who is left standing. I was dreading this whole thing. I assumed it would be more brutal and bloody. But the variety of skills on display in the ring have made the confrontations truly unpredictable.

Sariel: I agree, Walo. I can’t imagine how the participants felt throughout the Melee, but it wasn’t as ruthless as I imagined. Less war, more strategy games.

Iaoth: We did not properly prepare for this Arbitration.

Agiel: I saw your practice sessions. Bulking up and punching hard is helpful, but not the end all. Not against the wild card All Stars especially.

Kazi Fandral: Our team was such an unknown coming into the competition. Many of you were aware of our homeworlds, some of you have even visited them, but the All Stars represent the best of this universe. The fact that you all were so surprised is sad considering that you all organized this competition to essentially force your rules on us. How can you rule beings that you do not know?

Ahdis: That is a good point, Kazi Fandral, but to be fair, it’s not about direct rule over this realm. It’s setting boundaries for how our universe should interact with yours.

Kazi Fandral: Yes, for the Mmoatia that is true, and I am grateful that beings as powerful as the Mmoatia have such a thoughtful view of our universe. But for the Aerphim, you all seem to only want to impose your standards on a universe you view as inferior.

Iaoth: We don’t impose. We offer a better way.

Sariel: We have no desire to rule. Only to see the beings of this universe with more than they were given at birth.

Sene: Sound like y’all good intentions get warped ’cause you ain’t listening to the people you trying to help.

Ahdis: Yes, that is how it sounds to me.

Agiel: And this Arbitration should sort all that out?

Hysteria: It should. As you said, might is not a surefire means to victory on center court, not with the talents gathered there. The winner will be resourceful and passionate and that is what we need. I believe in this Arbitration, but the efficacy remains to be seen and I am open to criticism. If this is the last Arbitration of its kind, so be it if we all deem it ineffective.

Ahdis: I believe this will end well for all involved. You have done something amazing here, Hysteria. You should be proud.

Sariel: I must agree with the Supreme. Something about all this feels fated.

Walo: If only the Elders had been properly prepared. I agree, though, this gathering and discussion, and display of powers has been enlightening for us all.

Kazi Fandral: Indeed.
