Game Master: A challenge has been made, Hysteria.

Hysteria: Is there some issue?

Sariel: A question about what qualifies as a weapon. Considering that participants are only able to use weapons that they can generate with their bodies’ natural abilities, is it fair for the Superguardian of Bludon to use the power of the Bludonian Super Consciousness? It is an artificial implant, technology that is not naturally occuring in the body of a Bludonian.

Kazi Fandral: Superguardians are bred to receive their ancestral download, their enhancements are implanted at birth and can only be received by those born with necessary receptors. Removing the enhancements would kill a Superguardian. They are necessary for their basic biological function. Conversely, consider the situation of King Cras-myne Re and his arcane crown. The King is considerably more powerful with his crown and he is synonymous with those powers, but he does not wield the crown for this Arbitration because it is not a natural part of his body.

Hysteria: That is my understanding as well, and it is for that reason that I did not object to Maxx’s participation. But it is a reasonable point to raise and we should discuss it and then put it to a vote if participant Maxx should be disqualified.

Sariel: I appreciate your willingness to hear all sides, Hysteria.

Game Master: So let’s open it up to general discussion. Does anyone have questions about the issue that Sariel has raised regarding the Superguardian?

Sariel: The point about Cras-myne Re is well considered and I will take it into consideration.

Agiel: I don’t have questions about the Bludonian’s physiology, I’ve heard about Superguardians before. But I wonder if it’s too late to disqualify him. It seems unfair at this point.

GM: We can debate that after we answer any questions about the Bludonian.

Iaoth: What exactly are those enhancements that a Bludonian receives?

Ahdis: I have the same question. I am much less familiar with Bludonians than most here.

Walo: The same for me.

Sene: Me too.

Kazi Fandral: It is an implant, like a microchip of all Bludonian culture from the first intelligent iteration of their species to the present. This information provides muscle memory of generations of warriors and a mastery of the electromagnetic spectrum to manipulate that energy.

Sene: That don’t sound natural to me. But I feel like Agiel, it seems unfair to disqualify him in the middle. And they get this when they babies? That’s messed up, but as far as he know, it is natural, I guess.

GM: Any other questions about Bludonians? No? Alright. So, then I guess the next question is, is it too late to disqualify Maxx?

Sariel: It is not too late to disqualify him if the majority of us view his enhancement as not naturally occuring.

Agiel: I think it’s too late to disqualify him.

Iaoth: Not too late.

Ahdis: If there are enough objections, it is not too late.

Walo: I don’t think it’s too late to disqualify.

Sene: I think it’s too late.

Kazi Fandral: I don’t think it’s too late if there are objections.

GM: So the final question is does a Bludonian Superguardian’s enhancements make them ineligible to participate in the Arbitration according to the rules set by Hysteria?

Sariel: Yes, a Bludonian Superguardian is ineligible according to Hysteria’s rules.

Agiel: No, he is eligible. His enhancements are natural enough now.

Iaoth: Yes, the Superguardian is ineligible.

Ahdis: I vote no. He is eligible.

Walo: Yes, ineligible.

Sene: I think he should be able to compete. So no, he eligible.

Kazi Fandral: I vote no. The Superguardian is eligible.

GM: Three for yes, the Superguardian is ineligible. Four for no. The Superguardian is eligible to compete and will not be disqualified.

Hysteria: And the contest can continue.
