Game Master: The Supreme Mmoatia and their affiliated teams have made a strong showing in the initial phase of this Melee. They’ve managed to eliminate at least one participant from the Aerphim teams and if they keep this up, it could be an all Mmoatia Dance of Hysteria. But the battle is still young, and there are still many participants on center court.
Zazel: How are we looking, little brother?
Agiel: Not as bad as these Archangels, so better than shit. Pahadron is out, none of the Mmoatia teams have even lost a fighter. Have you seen my mother yet? She’s a knockout, and she has these awesome dreads. She seems a little slow though.
Zazel: Not out here. Mine either. They must be up to something. The cousins have been attacking the Mmoatia?
Agiel: Not the Supremes, but the other teams. That All Star team is no joke, they may be as powerful as the Supremes and Metatron.
Zazel: Pay attention to the strongest ones, it’ll be helpful for the Dance. I can’t just stand here while all this is happening. I need to get in there but I don’t know who to fight. Tracia isn’t our enemy, Agiel.
Agiel: I know, but is Metatron? You know how he loves and trusts us. The Archangels may be genocidal idiots, but Metatron made us who we are. It feels wrong to oppose him.
Zazel: I am stronger than sentiment, brother. I have to make a decision.
Agiel: Don’t think about it that way. Just trim the fat so there’re less rounds in the Dance. The more you deal with now, the less you have to deal with later.
Zazel: That’s a good point. Is Empyreon occupied at the moment? We can do that thing we used to do on the playground.
Agiel: You two were such bullies back then. But I guess it was good practice for today. Oh, Empy.
Empyreon: I hate it when you call me that, Agiel.
Agiel: You love it. Zazel wants to push weaklings out of bounds with you. Can you wrap up whatever it is you’re doing?
GM: Empyreon is fighting both Geer and Jaam of the Elder Yumboes and he is making easy work of them, even if their show of power is awesome. Throughout their battle, the two pasty, white Yumboes create a tandem cannon that allows Geer to essentially wield Jaam as a weapon. When Geer is able to grab Jaam from behind by the neck, he can channel his energy into Jaam and combine it with his own to blast a solid beam of intense energy from his open mouth. The beam has already done substantial damage to the pillar where Metatron has been observing the melee. Empyreon has easily evaded the powerful attack because Geer refuses to let Jaam aim. Geer insists on covering Jaam’s eyes with his free hand while he turns Jaam’s head in the desired direction.
Walo: You are dooming both of you, Geer. Jaam could have easily hit this one by now if you would let him aim.
Geer: A slave is not capable of those skills. He is not even worthy to serve as a conduit of my power, but I have debased myself for our common cause.
Jaam: Master is right, Walo. Do not question his wisdom…
GM: Before Jaam can finish, Empyreon and Zazel strike. Empyreon kneels on Zazel’s back holding her shoulders as she flies fast at Geer and Jaam, and when they are close, Empyreon pushes off, flapping his wings hard with his fists forward and charged by the essence. Geer tries to swing at Empyreon, but his attack crumbles against Empyreon speed and strength. Geer tumbles away and Empyreon follows him while Zazel lets go of her aspect and throws burning embers at Jaam. She punches him while he is distracted and he tumbles in the same direction as Geer. Empyreon shoots red lasers from his eyes that explode the ground near the tumbling yumboes and they both land out of bounds.
Empyreon: Just like old times. You’re much faster and stronger though, I almost fell off.
Zazel: Well, you better get used to it quick. We have a lot of fat to trim.
GM: Zazel takes off in the direction of a group of winged fighters with their backs in a circle. They wear the green tunics of the Umbatia.
Empyreon flies just above Zazel as they plot.
Zazel: Charge up on my back and we’ll ambush them, knock out as many as we can, then move on.
Sene: Lofet, you got two coming in hot.
Lofet: I don’t see nothing.
Sene: You will soon. Weva, Tiriq, Galwan, one of you have to see them.
Tiriq: I don’t see nobody coming toward us.
Galwan: Is that…
GM: Before he can finish his thought, Empyreon slams his charged fist into Galwan, knocking him back against Weva, who face plants to the stone court, and Empyreon continues flying up and around to make another pass. Galwan is dizzy and his teammates try to help him up. Tiriq begins to take flight after Empyreon, but then Zazel zooms in to knock Lofet into Tiriq. Empyreon has made his way back to the circle of chaos and he grabs one of Galwan’s chitan wings and flies the dazed Umbatia to the edge of the court, easily tossing him out.
Tiriq recovers from Lofet tumbling into them, and they take off after Empyreon, leaving Lofet on the court. Before Tiriq can engage Empyreon, Zazel rocks them with a charged fist that knocks them to the ground.
Empyreon: Very nice. Do we need to drag them out.
Hysteria: Weva has been prone for ten seconds. She has disappeared from the court. Followed by Tiriq.
Sene: Lofet, are you ok? You need to get out of there before those aerphim come back for you.
Lofet: I’m already gone. Tell me how to get to Umbriel.
Agiel: Wise to run, Sene. Save some players for the halfway mark.
Sene: Y’all do good teaming up, but I can’t wait for the one on one. See what the chaps really got.
Agiel: I have to say that I’d be interested to see that myself. You Umbatia are new to me, your wings are very interesting.
Sene: All them features seem like they would be annoying. They pretty, though.
Agiel: Aren’t they? Your wings are divine, like stained glass. Have you ever been to Endla?
Sene: Never heard of it before all this, but we can talk about that after all this.
Agiel: Agreed. I like making new friends.
GM: Zazel and Empyreon continue to stalk the court for easy targets. The other Children seem to be holding their own so far.
Dabriel is looking for Belfrat 33 who was fighting him on the lower of the horizontal bridges, but e seemed to retreat when Dabriel used a charged attack. Belfrat is a Druinte and does not wield the Divine Essence, but e has studied with the Kazi of Eel and e has demonstrated many of the arcane masteries associated with the ancient Kazi, like teleportation, transmutation, and telepathy. Dabriel thinks that he should just move on to another foe, but when he is about to give up, he thinks he sees Belfrat turn a corner or drop out of sight. Before long, Dabriel seems to have forgotten the larger melee and he is only concerned with finding Belfrat. Finally, he does lay eyes on the tall, dark-skinned Druinte in the light blue t-shirt and shorts that is the uniform of the All-Stars, and Dabriel flies as fast in that direction so Belfrat can’t slip away, but when he reaches Belfrat, he is instantly transported to the a vista where other disqualified participants are watching the melee.
Agiel: Dabriel, what the fuck! You just flew out. I think something’s wrong with the psychic link.
Dabriel: I hear you, Agiel. What happened?
Kazi Fandral: Belfrat 33 is a Makazi level image projector. E made your Dabriel see what e wanted to make him fly out of bounds.
Agiel: These All Stars have a lot of mind manipulators. Zazel, you will have to find a way to deal with them eventually.
Zazel: I just hope one of them doesn’t trap us before time is up. Has Quabriel engaged wth any of the All Stars?
Agiel: Quabriel?
Quabriel: I am still plotting against the Queen of Oin. Rowen is more formidable than the Kazi, and the Kazi are no slacks. Many of the All Stars have Kazi training. They are all formidable. I will report once I have tactics to take any of them out. Zazel and Empyreon, be on alert.
Zazel: We hear you, Quabriel.
Agiel: You All Stars are real wild cards, Kazi Fandral.
Kazi Fandral: This universe has power that doesn’t spill out from the Fonlands. We are not Vodun, but we are not pushovers.
Agiel: Well said.
Iaoth: This one is delusional. No All Stars will make it to the Dance.
Sariel: Will any of the Third Sphere Archangels? Paimel is struggling against the Bludonian and Tabris and the others are nowhere to be found.
Iaoth: Tabris, where is Paimel.
Tabris: Where is anyone? I am fighting a Xaxew and a Bromeris, I don’t have time for this. Get out of my head.
Agiel: I can’t wait to hear what the aerphim on Endla are saying about the T3s in this Melee. You know it’s being broadcast right? Everyone on Endla is watching.
Iaoth: We have much more of the melee to go and I’m sure that Paimel…
Hysteria: Is out. Maxx the Superguardian has just dropped her out of bounds.
Agiel: It’s not even fun making fun of you anymore, Iaoth. You guys are just sad.
GM: The T3 Archangels have lost four participants, the most of any team so far.
Zazel and Empyreon are coming up on Coffey, Raius, and Whil. They seem to have lost Pultine, I wonder what she is doing? But, can Zazel and Empyreon get easy knockouts of the Mmoatia?
Raius: Coffey, Whil, there’s something coming in fast. Two things.
Whil: I don’t see anything.
GM: Before Raius can explain, Whil is snatched up from the court by a brown blur and before Rauis and Coffey can respond, Zazel slams a fist into each of their backs. When they recover, Whil has been eliminated from the competition and the fast moving attackers have disappeared.
Agiel: Very nice Za, you and Empyreon are killing it. No hard feelings, Ahdis.
Ahdis: None taken. All’s fair in a battle for the future. Well, if it abides by Hysteria’s rules.
