Ariel is going to Endla! Meeting Jophiel and seeing Seraphiel and Jess with angel wings has her shook, but she is also curious. What is really happening, and how does she fit into it all? Ariel has to know.
The Divine Essence: “You are Pristine Black, a daughter of Pultine the mmoatia. Pultine is a sworn enemy of the Aerphim. But we are not your enemy. Something has happened that doesn’t involve Earth, but it does involve the mmoatia. Jophiel is just doing her job, she is an archangel. She will take you to Endla, not as a prisoner, but just for questioning. Trust me that you will return to Earth safe and sound and I will greet you on the return. We do have a tour to get back to at some point.”

Tracia does her best to hold everything together as the Aerphim continue their rise to the Empire they will achieve in the present day. Pultine is angry, and you know what Pultine does when she is angry. But there is no time for busting heads, and Tracia tries to keep the Supremes who are not already aligned with the Aerphim together as negotiations take place on Endla. And poor Lolof, man. He’s trying so hard, but nothing seems to go his way.
Swamp Bitches (Pultine’s Greatest Hits): “Pultine gave up her resistance after multiple days in the aerie. The wind was fierce, it whipped around the rocky cliff that was very high up in the mountainous vista where the main government building of the Aerphim was under construction. Tracia, Welboas and the other Supreme mmoatia were there as well, though Welboas, Mocdi and Vaqel, did not share the sleeping chambers that Pultine and Tracia shared with the other Supremes over the days they were there locked in negotiations.”

Unlike Lolof, Zazel is on a hot streak. The dice are probably as intimated by her as I am. She is so scary. Believe it or not, there is someone who isn’t afraid of Zazel and after seemingly killing her mother last issue, Zazel will probably be frustrated to learn that things are hardly ever what they seem.
Vistas of Endla: “‘He’s up to something, sister,’ Agiel says. He inspects the bodies of the winged women that Zazel had killed in a pile on the ground, and then the surroundings more closely. ‘Or, our captors are up to something. This is a fine replica of Bromeran, someone has gone to a lot of trouble to fool us. I can assume that those bodies in the pile are not what they seem either, and neither is our guard friend here. We are being duped, sister.’”

There is a reason that Dae is suddenly obsessed with unearthing memories of his father from deep in his subconscious. It’s not a pleasant story, the man is in prison, afterall. But there’s some good art work, at least.
The Trials of Daedalus: “Before he leaves the prison library, Dae has completed the work that Carlos had interrupted. The portrait that Carlos had drawn is spread out and weighed down by books at the top and bottom.¶ There is also a book open, a book of works by Pecou…”

Lincoln is back! And he is in a dark place after he thinks his bandmate, Brandon, gained fame by taking credit for his work. Lincoln only trusts his father who tries to keep him from indulging his darkest urges.
Sun of the Morning: “Lincoln sighed. He sat at the kitchen table with his father and he looked down at his own hands. He had been by himself for months, seething. He’d figured that Brandon had already signed a deal and was making music in some studio up north, and Lincoln wrote, then roughly recorded with his laptop, enough songs to fill a mixtape. He had a CD of the music on the table.”

The old woman, Lucille, gets a new roommate. Her long-time friend, Sandra, used to be a detective, and in her retirement, she hopes the move to the outskirts of Ellerson will give her the relaxation she desires. But there are so many mysteries in and around Ellerson, and old habits die hard.
Before the Darkness: “When she moved to Ellerson, NC after her second retirement from the Knoxville Tennessee Police Department, Sandra was hesitant. She had history with the town, though she’d never spent substantial time there. She had followed the news of the town’s development over decades and like most people around the world, she was curious to see the first extraterrestrial embassy on Earth. The attention on Ellerson, and its massive population that boomed to become not only the largest in the US, but in North America following the incorporation of neighboring towns, made Sandra wary. ”
