“I wish death on all of you bitches!” Pultine screamed and her words echoed up through the trees of the grove. Her wings flapped furiously at her back as she hovered over the large pink lily petals that had been her seat for the gathering of the Supremes following the defeat of the yumboes at the Earther swamp.

“Bitch, who you think you is coming in all hot like this?” Welboas said. She had brown skin, a voluptuous female form, and her body was draped in neon colored silks made by her spider tailor. Her hair was neon blue to match her silks, and the voluminous feathers of her wings changed color depending on her mood.

“I am the last real bitch to grace these flowers,” Pultine said and crossed her arms at her chest, her dark skin gleaming under the light from above. She looked down on the gathering of the Supremes. “How can you trade your own sisters in a bargain with Lêgba? What spell does he have you all under that you can’t see he wants to use us to populate that planet he’s making? Are we less than bitches now? Less than whores? Just breeding stock? At least a whore makes money, and a bitch is the highest honor when worn correctly.”

“We see advantage in that,” Welboas said and she took flight from her seat on her own petals. She didn’t approach Pultine, but levitated at the same height to level their eyelines. “While you’re off basking in the mediocrity of that Earth place you’ve become obsessed with, Lêgba is making use of the unimpressive parts of the realm. He is making something worthy of Mawu-Lisa. Agê made us a check on his power, what better way than to join him in his vision? We will be the mothers of an entirely new kin of being never seen here in the Fonlands or in the other realm. We have a plan, what is yours? Would you slay a Vodun, Pultine? Are you really that bitch?”

“I spoke too hastily,” Pultine said to the gathering. There were seven total mmoatia in attendance and she mostly looked at Tracia who seemed unmoved by the verbal tussle between Pultine and Welboas. “I wish death on this bitch,” she pointed at Welboas, “who is obviously the reason we are in this present. Tracia told me of the conditions of our cooperation with Lêgba as he seeks to shape that realm as he sees fit. We will be his angels, us, the Supremes of the mmoatia, who know the favor of Agê and are blessed with mastery on the level of the Vodun. We will be his breeding stock, his warriors, his slaves. Why would we give our power to him? We don’t need to give him anything to do what Agê asks of us.”

“Then bring it bitch,” Welboas said and both her wings and hair turned neon red and the color radiated around her as she channeled her energy. “You so fucking mighty, don’t wish, bring it.”

Pultine cocked her head at Tracia, and Tracia smirked then shook her head. She flew up from her petals.

“This has been most entertaining. I believe they are owed an ovation.” Tracia clapped and laughed, and the four other mmoatia joined her. “It has been a while since you’ve graced us with your presence Pultine, and we are all glad to have you here. Including Welboas.”

“Don’t speak for me, glorious sister,” Welboas said and she powered down, the glow softening to nothing.

“But this is our plan. Agê has blessed it. There will be many sacrifices to be made in the coming future, and we will all be taxed by our responsibilities, but we have a duty and future to protect. Pultine, we will travel to Lêgba’s Endla as a contingent and we will discuss our roles in his plans for his creation. We must move as a collective. We are stronger together. Do you trust me?” Tracia asked this question in a way that made Pultine’s ears perk up. “Do you trust your sisters?”

“I trust you,” Pultine said with a nod, then she looked at Welboas. “But this bitch ain’t a real mmoatia. I move to replace her…”

“Why is this bitch so hot today?” Welboas asked as her power began to collect again.

“…and I want to propose a new restriction that Supremes must be true mmoatia, not a mix of mmoatia and yumbo.”

“Bitch, your mama was a fucking tree!” Welboas said with shock and disgust in her voice.

“Please,” Tracia said. “Let’s end this meeting. Everyone prepare for the trip to Endla, we will meet soon to travel. Pultine, you and I should talk.”

“She is too wild a variable,” Lolof said. He was with Tracia in her mound on Agê’s disc. From the outside, it had the appearance of a large ant or termite mound on the forest floor, but inside was a comfortable space that Tracia called home. She and Lolof relaxed on a bed with fine sheets.

“She is just the right amount of wild to be effective. You should have seen her with the Supremes. She is amazing, I admire her honesty. Welboas is compromised somehow, but we’ve been unable to figure out the means. Mocdi and Vaqel are compromised as well, they forced our action against the Yumboes. Lêgba has made his move and we were caught completely unaware. The only way out of this now is through.”

“I am disappointed by Welboas,” Lolof said sadly. “She was meant to be the brightest of us, to usher in a future where we are all one. But she makes our union seem weak.”

“If the greater population of our communities find out the truth, maybe. But I am working to contain this. Welboas may not come out of this unscathed, but I will do everything I can to save her. Even from Pultine. I will give Pultine a new target, someone else to hate more than she definitely hates Welboas right now.”

Lolof nodded, but he didn’t know if he was convinced.

Game Move:

GM: What you thinking about, buddy?

Lolof: I wonder if there is a way to remove the embarrassment of Welboas so Tracia has one less thing to worry her.

GM: There are many ways. Do you want to make a move?

Lolof: I know that Tracia prefers I lay low in this time of great transition, so I would like to make a secretive move to put eyes on Welboas. My instinct is to try to kill her so that the mmoatia and yumbo communities do not learn of her treachery. Can I roll to see if an assassination attempt on Welboas is successful?

GM: You can! Will you be attempting this hit yourself or hiring someone?

Lolof: Yumbo assassins, definitely.

GM: Very well. Roll 2d10 for a combined score of 110 to successfully assassinate Welboas.

Tune in next week to see if Lolof takes out Welboas in the name of mmoatia-yumbo unity.
