Welcome back! We are back and happy to be in week 11 of our course on making influential friends. The summer is over and we are nearing the end, and we’ve saved the most helpful tips for last. So buck up, dear readers! Class is in session.

Parallel Principle : Ask questions first, shoot later.

The key to finding friends is exploration. As you move through new lands and environs, be well protected against possible harm, but also be very judicious about the use of violence. A friendly gesture to some is a frightful experience to someone else and this misunderstanding can lead to unnecessary hostility and death. Death is counter to the mission of this course. It is impossible to make friends with the dead; for the average being of the universe anyway.

Time has been wonky since 2020, so come back soon for the final two issues of Volume 2! The weeks just seem to fly by these days.

The plot to assassinate Beyonce Knowles Carter is well underway and Thursday leads a team of investigators in Idiot days clothing to find Tuesday before he can execute his plan. Will Thursday and his newfound compatriots be enough?

The Black Man Who Was Thursday: “Thursday turned and looked in the direction that Saturday pointed. He struggled to find a face that he recognized until Tuesday emerged from the pedestrians on the sidewalk and then went inside the restaurant. Thursday got up and followed him inside, and Saturday and Friday followed closely behind him.”

The Manual and Reference of the Fonlands is a great source of information on the goings on of Universe Prime 5. Before Ariel attends a meeting with a man who can change her life, let’s dig into the Manual, shall we? See what Lêgba has been up to around the universe.

The Divine Essence: “Fonlanders exist throughout universe Prime 5, though the greatest concentration of Fonlanders in Prime 5 is on Earth—this despite the planet Endla of the Soulaxar galaxy, that is home to the planets Druont, Xaxax, and Wiis that are all inhabited by sentient beings. Endla shares the same solar system as Wiis.”

This festival sounds amazing. I wonder how much a ticket costs? As the ferry docks, and the festival goers are greeted by the angelic staff of the festival, there’s more murmurs of sacrifices. This festival sure seems like a great time despite that, though.

Third Heaven (One-Shots): “The herald spoke loudly over the commotion and he led everyone from the dock, passing row boats and jet skis to the main street that was bright with yellow lights and looked like the main street of a small town. The main street had bars and restaurants, clothing stores, souvenir shops.”

Lincoln is older and more focused on his music. He’s learned to tune out the doom and gloom from his mother, but talk of his possible great grandfather, Afonso, just gets louder.

Sun of the Morning: “One Saturday afternoon Lincoln was in the park in East Ladoga with his friends Brandon and Snot. Brandon had his guitar, Snot his keyboard that he plugged into one of the outlets of the covered gazebo where the three gathered, and Lincoln had a trumpet that Mrs. Wells let him borrow even though he played the trombone for the band.”

Max takes the Shuffle to a love in conflict. What does it mean to honor the dead? And what if the wishes of the dead conflict with the needs of the living?

Shuffle:  “’When I die,’ Marie said, ‘I really hope no one makes a fuss. I’ve arranged everything. My will is clear, all you have to do is follow the directions. Most of it is automatic, you’ll just need to show up. If you want to of course. I won’t hold a grudge if you don’t.’”

It’s a look back to the first time Tamarvan returned home after he left Ladoga for college. It’s the story of a man with good intentions and a lot of suppressed trauma.

A Misguided Solution: “When Tamarvan Barnes arrived to Ladoga, he was hopeful that it would be a good time. He flew into Charlotte and his brother picked him up from the airport.”
