Hello, hello and welcome to the penultimate issue of the PRL Vol. 1! The serials continue as we make our way to the end of the summer of dreams.
I guess the summer ended last week. It was a hot one, and don’t get me started on the turmoil in the news. How much longer will the world seem unrecognizable to those of us who favor peace and tranquility? I’ll answer that with a question; has the world ever truly been a place of peace and tranquility?
But this is not the place for real bummers, not today! Enjoy the serials and get ready for the exciting conclusion.

This week:

Leeland has arrived at the center of it all and it’s time for him to understand what this has all meant. Azathoth is in the mood to elaborate, but does it mean anything to Leeland?
The Black Dream Cycle: “Azathoth is the horrifying reality of creation, the chaos at the center of all things.”

The stories of men shifts to New York where we meet a man and his best friend as he has flashbacks to battle toads.
Wes E. L.’s Relationships and Men: “Corey met me on 116th street after riding the train from the Bronx for the hour and a half it takes to get to uptown Manhattan. We greeted, screaming “wassup” almost in unison and pounding fists, bringing them slowly away from the point of collision to have our hands explode as fingers wiggling back and forth.”

The reality of the physical world is astounding. Somehow we are born into it and interact with it. I shouldn’t say somehow like it’s a mystery. Existence is electricity.
Electricity Sonnets: “…Atoms, the building blocks of existence, / Are charges, negative, positive, none…”

Oh the news, I’d be scared at the reality of the present if I wasn’t so happy to be validated in my decision to publish this decade-old work.
Life in Marvelous Times (2010): “…A favorite is a distraction from mundane choices, a shortcut in cases when a question arises and one is forced to make a selection; ask me how much I want, I want IV because on previous occasions beneficial things happened or triumphs were met.”

VIV is back on the Shuffle and she details a mysterious building where a mysterious game unfolds. It’ll leave you wanting more; that was my experience, at least.
Shuffle: “There is a very inconspicuous building at the edge of a street in a town inhabited by people. At random times throughout the day, random people walk the sidewalk in front en route to some other destination, and get caught up on the building. It is white or grayish white and blends easily with the gloom of rain clouds.”

Max details the plans he has for his writing future and they involve the infamous former mayor of Ladoga. Plus, he eats some rarebit.
Welsh Rarebit: “Everyone listened to Max and maybe it was because of the tense conversation we were delaying, but we all sat around him, watching like he was a movie.”
