The Alia Quest continues as Alia seeks to collect more colors in her pursuit of the Rainbow Road. She seemed to save Nebuchad last issue, and I wonder who will make an appearance this time.
The Hyperion (Amazing Alia, the Alia Bk. ^): “Amidst gray debris, Alia’s hair is now orange and it matches her shiny armor as she drifts and reorients herself. The sword is long in her hand and she searches the distance around her for the yellow rock that should be apparent. Before she looks completely around herself, she sees Nebuchad, floating unconscious, in the same spiffy suit in which she had found him, only it is gray like the debris around them.”

Tin is an odd name. It has to be made up, right, a nom de guerre? It reminds me of someone else from Earth with a single name that is also a type of metal. I wonder if they know one another? Wendy’s confrontation with Tin continues and despite her impressive powers, it doesn’t go well for her.
When the Dead Die (The Brave Chimutengwende Bk. 2): “The Consortium of Human History is a research organization. It existed first as a fraternal order of intellects from many disciplines who sought an understanding of the origins and the purpose of humanity in the universe, and over many centuries, as its members gained power and influence, the COHH emerged as a multinational organization that funded research into the human condition.”

The mission to Wiis has Kal convinced of an imminent attack on the Banned Regions. Whadgaf is more cautious, but a message heralding the first ever war games at the IP has everyone worried. Things promise to get hectic soon and our quartet finds a moment to relax.
Further Ascension (Darker Maria Bk. 1): “Aircraft are advised to avoid use of warpways in the vicinity of the Interstellar Panel in advance of the first ever war games between the IP Law Enforcement Officers and the Wiis Defense Ministry. These games will continue for a rount, commencing at the start of the IP headquarters’ daylight cycle in three cycles. The warpways will reopen for travelers at the end of the first day of war games.”

Paul is on the porch again, he deserves it after his long and stressful career, but not for long before Yuri arrives with the young woman, Falon, who is still in search of her father. Things finally comes together for Paul thanks in part to an old friend who is very far away, but still seemingly watching over everything.
Old Man Young and the Con Man’s Daughter: “Last night, I got a vision. It was a dream, but it felt like more than that. I saw this girl, a young lady that I’ve met before but haven’t seen in a long time, and she told me where they are. She told me that Ivan and Clay are in trouble and they need help.”

Darker has made fast friends with Kazi Fandral who has vowed to help him achieve the death he longs for. Darker learns to access the mental realm thanks in large part to his experiences after his first death and he has an idea for achieving his final mission.
To Oblivion (Limited Series): “Let your mind go, like relenting to the pull of fatigue and drifting from conscious awareness to the awareness of your dreams, the awareness of your subconscious thoughts. But don’t be drawn into the subconscious, hang there in between the point of giving into fatigue and being taken by it. Drift there. Be that feeling, not awake and not asleep. Remember your time in the Ife-Osu, how easily it was to be and not be, you are there now, in a seemingly infinite black space. Are you aware there? Look around at the emptiness…”

Poor Manuel and Adam. They’ve been zombies for a while now thanks to Worthington’s leeches, and even after they shake those, things are still pretty rough. Hopefully their luck will change soon.
Made in America (Series 2): “It is dark as they stumble out of the salon, and neither have the leech dangling from the base of their heads. They wander away from the salon along a road and then into nearby woods to avoid the few cars that pass. They lay in the grass and fall asleep without speaking a word to one another.”
