Spooky Action At a Distance

I know of course how the hocus pocus works mathematically.

But I do not like such a theory.

– Erwin Schrodinger, 1935

The life we know is ours. We must treasure it. Hold it dear. Ignore the truths that undermine existence, that breaks us down into smaller units and obscures our individuality. We are not just energies buzzing up or down, blinking on and off, spinning alternately in two directions. We are the miraculous sum of those parts, because we will it.

Lose your will at your own peril. The particles of your body will rebel for a more willful system. Or you will just disappear, drawn away from the tether of your presence to the spot of your entanglement in a foreign place you could not hope to comprehend.

Hold on dear reader, keep your spirits up despite the truth. You are more than a victim of uncanny circumstance.

Tonight:

– – –

Silas may be free from the curse that drew him to Hell, but the Father of that realm is not happy. Who is the Father of Hell and how did he come to rule there? It’s time for the origin story of the man behind the plan that brought Silas to Hell in the first place, and the Father’s origins are unlike anything you’ve encountered before.

Silas in Hell: “Evil is not subjective, but it can be hard to identify because how can we ever truly know another’s motivations?”

– – –

The Dark Parallel that Silas inhabits has a rich history just like your own. There are beings in the Dark Parallel living lives and making choices, remarkable choices that will shape the macabre future of their universe. Kevin, the kid who makes real his intimation to murderous result, is remarkable, and so was the being that made the device in his head. And that’s just the beginning. Every action has reactions, dear reader, and two worlds on opposite sides of the universe seem to be affecting one another is bad ways.

Remarkable: “Earth and Druont have a mysterious link that is not a curiosity to inhabitants of either planet; Earth is mostly unaware of Druont, and Druont had local interests that outweighed the curiosity floating space on the other side of the universe. The link is seldom exploited, and usually accidentally.”

– – –

In a different parallel of existence, the players of this story use their extraordinary gifts for good. But the Dark Parallel tends to corrupt even the best intentions. Ivan Santana is a victim, and then he becomes something else in a split second, driven to an extreme by extreme cruelty.

The Lightning God: “The sky, everything, was white. Everyone was blinded and blinked away spots from their eyes. It had only lasted a second and there was no sound, but everyone within a ten mile radius of the source saw it and was afraid that it was a portend of awful things; like the first time the silent lightning struck a few days before. That first time, people in a small town called Borges, in Guadalajara, Mexico were seemingly stricken by possession, and the ones that were spared, worried that the second whitening would bring more evil.”
