All sentient life is connected. The appendages may be different, we may eat different things, and live in different solar systems, but at the end of the day, we’re all one big family.
It’s time to explore the branches of the universal family tree, and today, we present:

– Issue 0 – Null
There are, or were, or will be, many Ascendant spacecraft homeworlds scattered across many existences. Not only are there many versions of the Ascendant in the prime parallel of existence, there are also many dummy ships scattered throughout time that had been used to test time travel when the Ascendant were rookies with the technology. All of these planets Top in the relative present of the prime parallel of existence owe their very being to the first Ascendant ship, the prime ship if you will, to travel back from the relative end of existence to the relative beginning. If that first ship, which is the home of the Par-Cell 77 of this story, does not travel back in time, then not only will the planet Top of Par-Cell 77 cease to exist, but every planet Top of the current timeline, except the last one that will eventually form in the distant future of the relative present, will cease to exist as well.
It will come to pass.
