Universal Family Tree Presents:

7

Par-Cell eventually grew old. The Ascendant live on average for about thirty millennia RET, and Par-Cell lived to see her 700 thousandth birthday. It was a joyous occasion on Top, there have been very few members of the 77 in the history of the collective who reached their 700 thousandth birthday while serving as a member of the 77. As a public figure, many were aware of the milestone and she was celebrated with a ceremony at the open-air amphitheater in the fields near her room. Even in her advanced age, she was beautiful and her horns sprouted from her head like long markers of the many years she had survived. Her accomplishments were celebrated, broadcast on a holographic screen that hovered above the crowd, close to the stage of the theater.

Par-Cell was proud of the life she had lived. She would die seven days later with a smile on her face.

The boys return home and there’s no time to waste! There are bills to pay, a lawn to manage, and Alia is blind now. Things are hectic. It would be understandable for our heroes to overlook a looming threat, like an old nemesis with the determination to see Clay dead.

Complex Repulsion (Diode Bk. 3): “In Clay’s absence, his neighborhood has returned to it’s previous ruler, the drug dealer/purveyor of prostitution, Jamar. He had been optimistic that the assassin Desperation had finally done what he had paid him to do; to kill Clay and rid the neighborhood of his superheroics that cut his profits to near non-existent.”

Alia continues to cope with her new reality. Just as things are coming into clearer focus, though, a familiar threat will arrive to make good on a promise.

Alia (Amazing Alia, the Alia Bk. °): “She sits outside a lot as her brain processes the slowly returning access she has to the infinity of the multiverse. She doesn’t consciously organize this information into a clear view of her reality, but it happens because of the wonder of the human mind that is largely a mystery to humans.”

He’s back, but Detective Paul Young is not his usual self. He is scared. What was it that put fear into the lionhearted? Keep reading to find out.

Young Man (Old Man Young and the Con-Man’s Daughter Limited Series): “Young experienced a breakdown. It wasn’t exactly a breakdown, it was a panic attack, but he had never experienced one before and he thought he was having a stroke. He went to the hospital and he was placed on paid leave for a month. Sandra lived with him and she looked out for him as she always did, but more so because she could tell that he had been shaken to his core.”

It seems that Dr. Roy Worthington is always working, proving that nothing is more important than progress. Plus, a rebranding is underway in the wake of a major scientific breakthrough and the new name is only the beginning.

Consortium Zone: South (Made in America Series 2 Limited Series):  “The US Consortium of Human History Southeast Branch, now known as Consortium Zone: South, or the CZS for short, believes that the progress of humanity can only be realized if humanity conquers the universe.”

The PRL Serials, in conjunction with This and Other Things, proudly presents Strange Encounters, an anthology series that will showcase new titles such as The Maker, Dark Angels, Sun Child, and other new series inspired by the work of the Chronicles. And she will do it in the first ever PRL 2 in 1, a format that is a boon to the voracious reader. Each issue of the 2 in 1 is actually two issues from two different series that provide a bigger picture of key moments from the history of the PRL epic. So get ready. The pink pterodactyl is ready to move.

Strange Encounters (PRL 2 in 1):  “The children were sacrifices. To nothing and by noone, no person anyway. They were chosen by existential markers in the fabric of space that indicated their presence and then insisted on their eventual replication when the stuff of creation swirled into existence. The children were echoes of something else; a previous self, a parent, a universal abstract. The children are all of us, but unlucky, asked to shoulder a constant burden that cannot be neglected.”

The social society is back, and they are coping with their integration into mainstream society. Falstraq is still working hard as their highest ranking advocate, and the governors are always watching.

Universal Family Tree: “Daecoo and others of the inhabitants of Changuzi who could trace their lineage back to wild durine who had joined the city over the years, retained the ancient ability to process complex chemical information in the air to make predictions about the movement of other fauna that might be a danger, as well as other durine. Daecoo’s ability is strong and many in eris community viewed erim as a soothsayer.”
