Universal Family Tree Presents:

7

We are in an aeon of change, of transformation. We accept that the universe turns over, that we are not living in an existence that is unprecedented. We know that there was a start to our universe, and before that, something died to give way to what we know. That means that even when we try to start at the beginning, we are only denoting one arbitrary start that we can perceive. What if what came before was this same perceived existence, or conditions similar enough to those that gave rise to our present? And what if the universe has turned over countless times? Then maybe we have done this all countless times.

The universe itself is being refined each time, and we mark a significant turnover. Sisters, we have challenged the gods, and they will not let us forget our blunder. But we will know them, and we will outsmart them on all the fields of battle, both physical and otherwise. That is why I have assembled you all here. We will dissect the engine of existence, we will learn it’s inner workings, it’s operators, and we will bend them to our will. Because we are the Ascendant, and we have made a fatal error that cannot be solved with our conventional methods. You are all more than my students, you will be the extension of my life’s mission to correct the mistake of the Ascendant.

There is much work to do, and we must build a solid foundation. Our work will be completed across such a large span of time that even we will have to rely on our progeny to see our mission completed. And we must be discreet, our mission could be perceived as treasonous to our Commander and our family. But make no mistake, the work we do is to restore the Ascendant to our proper reputation; no longer hapless explorers, but consequential beings of the universe who aided it’s evolution through aeons.

Every city has a rich history, and Wendy grapples with the history of Charleston, SC as the instigator of a slave rebellion returns to the land of the living and wreaks havoc on the people who have learned nothing from history.

The Curse Breaker (The Brave Chimutengwende Limited Series): “I’m a curse ma’am,” the man said. “I do what I do since the ground shifted and let me back lose. It wasn’t no happenstance neither, ma’am. I was somewhere else and then everything was chaos, and I found myself back here. Imma see my revenge ma’am.”

Ishe continues his psychedelic journey through the light. He’s in search of heavenly assistance, but what he’ll get instead will change things for a lot of people, and spirits.

Ishe in the Suck (Isheanesu Team-Up): “Ishe floated in the direction of the Ajres for as long as it took, though Ishe had a poor concept of how much time was actually passing. As he neared it, the spot of yellow that had been a faint dot, like a fading ember, grew bigger and bigger, until he was at it like he floated before a massive ball of chaotic yellow energy that was mostly a ball, with flares of energy that shot off like waves.”

He was resurrected by an organization that did not know or care about his life. He was meant to be a bargaining chip. But a second chance is a second chance, if he can learn to appreciate it.

Darker Maria (One Shots):  “Darker was content in his afterlife and the new life in his physical body was not what he remembered life to be. He felt limited by limbs and senses. He felt isolated from others and their experience. His body was like a cage and it took time for him to acclimate to having it. He hated clothes; Maria and Eakran often found him naked around the house. When he did wear clothes, they hung loosely off his body so that he could easily take them off.”

Ivan can’t sit and spectate any longer. And when he’s ready to move, Clay has to follow. But is Clay ready to face what threatens him, or is he still licking his wounds?

Complex Repulsion (Diode Bk. 3): “I’m not afraid of those spiders, Ivan, I’m not. I just don’t know what to do. I should listen to auntie, she knows what she talking about. But what if I give it up and I ain’t enough to help? What if I give it up and you can’t protect yourself? I can’t make a decision. I don’t know what to do and I just want to be here, safe in my auntie’s house for as long as I can be because I ain’t never felt this safe.”

Someone needs to explain this to me. Alia is on a deserted Top, home of the Ascendant? Is this the future? I’m so confused. But hey, Solse Prab is back, and Nebuchad’s in the mix. It’s entertaining if nothing else.

Alia (Amazing Alia, the Alia Bk. °): “But you know that you are not really here? You have made your way to the source of your maladies. If you have questions. I am here to give whatever answers you have access to. But I can only do that if you ask.”

Come back to the future of the Ascendant, the pinnacle of sentient evolution in the universe as we learn more about their exploits in the Quinspace.

Universal Family Tree: “When the Ascendant battled the First Wave of the Quinspace, they did so on many battlefronts. They waged wars on early planetoids that lasted long enough for the field of battle to become planets and solar systems. It was a devastating battle and there were many losses on both sides, but the nature of the Quinspace made the battles very beautiful to spectate.”
