Plenary 287 was the last of eris line and e lived to be over a thousand. E resisted calls for erim to create a successor iteration to ensure that the planet Druont was never without a Plenary. E didn’t understand the fascination with eris being and e shunned interaction with others, which gave erim ample time for scientific endeavors that laid the groundwork for Druinte understanding of dark matter and energy. The Plenary was the Druinte equivalent of a supermodel, only when durine gazed at erim with lust or envy, they were obsessing over the perfection of eris being that allowed erim to do common Druinte activity with ease and to relative perfect result. Plenary could diagnose a problem with any machine that e could inspect closely; e could sense the breakdown in its proper function. Similarly, he was a notable intern at the Universal Infirmary on Oin, where e excelled at universal diagnostics. E had a feel for the proper function of everything.
God has learned a lot about the limitations of eris own body since e has been under the observation of Pegraf 7. According to data gathered by equipment, God has the capacity to be the most physically fit durine to have ever walked the planet Druont. Tests of the musculature of eris limbs reveals the capacity to run faster, jump higher, more than double the averages of most durine. It is also apparent that God is much younger than previously believed. Pegraf estimates that e is at least five rounts younger than the age of adulthood, which means that eris body is not yet fully formed.
“I knew that I should be taller,” God said when Pegraf told erim. “Your bosses will be glad to know that they have an interesting test subject on their hands.” God was relieved to learn of the interesting information about eris age and e hoped that it would help erim avoid the fate of several other forced labor subjects who had died over the course of God’s observation under Pegraf. E had come to terms with the possibility of eris death when e started the program, but it was clear enough that some durine test subjects didn’t warrant extensive observation because they offered no new insights into durine physiology. This meant that Pegraf was forced to use them for dangerous studies that no durine who enjoyed living would volunteer for. God avoided tests to see how long the durine could survive without its head because he definitely aged slower than any other durine on the planet, and eris apparent genetic superiority rivaled the perfection of the original Plenary.
But contrary to God’s assumption, Pegraf had not reported the extraordinary news of eris young age to the Lead Scientist. E did report it to a member of the informal governing body of the social durine, who still plotted on behalf of their community even if it had been disbanded at Changuzi and integrated into mainstream society.
Pegraf met with a member of the informal governing social durine regularly. The majority of the governors were assigned work at the Hall of Biological Sciences, which was convenient for Pegraf to find eriself in close proximity to at least one of them when e moved about the community of Biological Sciences. E usually met with a governor in public and the last time, e sat admiring the day on the small mall of the community, when another durine sat close by with their attention on the screen of a viewer.
“It is what we all need,” the durine with the viewer said loud enough for Pegraf to hear, though e never made eye contact.
“One another,” Pegraf said in response.
“Indeed, speak freely,” the durine said. Pegraf did not know eris name, it had never been important. A governor could always be identified by the secret phrase that Pegraf knew the response to.
“The New Plenary exceeds expectation. Eris DNA will extend the life of its progeny by almost double. Which would be ideal for a mass exodus of the planet like the governors are currently seeding in the scattered social population.”
“Socialize erim. When e is, then we can start concrete plans to leave this planet. E is our savior.”
The governor left unceremoniously and Pegraf sat smiling to erimself. Things were going better than expected. Even though e loved eris job, e longed for the touch of another and e had worried that e had wasted the best rounts of eris life in the laboratory. But the governor had given erim permission to socialize God, and Pegraf wanted to make God eris partner.
