Know that I love you with the full extent of my heart and your message caused me both great joy and anguish. I want to see you. It would be the realization of all of my fantasies to be close to you. But sadly, that cannot happen. Not easily anyway. It’s not just a matter of the physical distance between us. Knowing that you want to see me is enough for me to bend the cosmos to make it happen. But even if I claw my way across the universe, I fear that there are still other things that might prevent our physical closeness.
I want you to see me, to know me. But that is unwise. I think it is unwise. There are truths that you would struggle with if you knew me better, truths that could shatter your understanding of the world that you live in. I won’t do that flippantly.
If you insist, I will give you my truth because you deserve as much, but I hope that you will not ask without considering my words of caution carefully. I cannot stress that enough.

You don’t have to make excuses. If you don’t want to see me, you can say it and I will understand. What does it even mean that you could shatter my understanding? You don’t have to be dramatic. If my question is, can I see you, just say no if that is impossible. I like you because you seem like an honest person. Maybe I was wrong about you. Maybe I am not a good judge of character. Forget I asked for anything. Forget that you ever learned that I exist and I will do the same.

Please don’t misunderstand my trepidation. I am not lying or trying to mislead you. I am being honest when I say that my truth could shatter your understanding of the world. I have tried very hard not to misrepresent myself, but you have made assumptions about me that give you the impression that I am a simple car drive, or airplane ride away. My love, it is not that simple. I would literally have to bend the cosmos to get to you and if you say the word I will do it.
Ask for my truth and it is yours. But promise me that you will accept it, that you won’t accuse me of making excuses not to see you.

If you tell me that you are being honest, I will accept it. Please just be honest. Please tell me you’re not married.

I won’t ever lie to you. I am not married. I am Bromeris. From your perspective, I am an alien. I was born on a planet called Bromeran. I would imagine that if we were to ever see one another, you might describe me as a beast. I am at least twice your height and I have horns that make me appear even taller. You might find me handsome, Bromeris facial features are not so different from Earthlings, but I wouldn’t expect that you would warm immediately to my physicality.
We can communicate in relative real time because of our technology, but it would take me life times to travel to Earth and if I were to make it there, I fear that you would no longer exist. I will find a way, though, if you need it. I will find a way to be next to you if you ask, in light of all that I have told you.
There is a way that we could always be together, though not physically. There is a chance that I could be in your head any time you need me. If you will accept that, sadly we could never be together physically, but I can promise you that our souls would be forever entwined.
Tell me what you want and I will make it happen.

You’re an alien. I see. Convenient excuse never to see you. If you will do whatever I ask, then do the last thing. Make it so our souls will be together forever. I can’t possibly doubt you if you do that.

So be it. Soon you will know that I have kept my word.
