Time to Read:

4–5 minutes

There is a device that contains details of all time and existence from the start and as it marches forward. This device is a God Machine; its machinations are wondrous to all sentient beings of the universe, or it would be if its existence was widely known. These are the tales from the Aeternus.

Hi everyone! Today, we focus the power of the Aeternus on the planet Earth as your favorite heroes ready themselves to battle an evil that threatens their communities. It’s time for the PRL Crossover event of the summer that will continue across Issue 5 and conclude in Issue 6. There’s magic, and monsters, and aliens, medical experiments and crime fighting. We’ve got something for everyone and tonight’s issue is the longest in PRL history (I’m pretty sure). So hunker down and get ready as the heroes come out to save the day.

Our blogger continues her posts about the married man that she just can’t shake. The feelings are getting stronger and her actions are becoming more extreme. If only there was someone out there she could talk to.

Romances and Mazes: “I’m talking to you now. You know who you are, the only one reading this. Where are you from? What do you look like? That doesn’t really matter, you don’t have to answer that. But I’m curious about you.”

CZS Chapter 1 – From the Shadows

It all starts here (if you don’t count the intro from a couple weeks ago)! The PRL Crossover Event of the Summer begins in a laboratory. Not Eakran’s lab, but in the lab of a doctor that he has expressed respect for. And this doctor is cooking up something that will change countless lives, but not for the better.

Eakran’s Experiments (One-Shots): “But human beings are complicated. It’s true that if you have a medical mystery that has plagued your health for years, there are few better than Worthington for addressing that problem. But outside of his profession, he has ideas that have developed over his life that others might find disturbing.”

The police have been in the news a lot over the past couple of years. Bad cops are just that, bad and shouldn’t have badges. But the good ones, they’re the backbone of civil society. The good ones run into danger ready to restore peace. I love the goods ones.

Police Force (Limited Series):  “Adam looks over his shoulder at the entrance, then back to Manuel. ‘Yeah, I don’t know what the hold up is. I’m sorry to drag you into this man, I was just losing sleep over it and I want to make sure the best people are on it. People I trust won’t make selfish decisions.’”

Ivan and Clay are in the Police Force and their story continues here. Of course Clay and Ivan are happy to be together, but – and I know I said this before but it bears repeating – relationships are hard.

Love as Power (Diode Bk. 1): “But, what I was trying to say was that it happens, this happens. People fall in love all the time and their lives are never the same afterwards, and maybe some relationships aren’t great for everyone involved, but that’s a risk people take.”

– – –

Alia and Kevin are in the same conflict as the others, but they are taking on the problem at the source. Or Alia is. She has definitely taken charge, and Kevin is doing his best to keep up.

Amazing Elroy (Amazing Elroy, The Magician Bk. 2): “He had been ok as a secret agent of the CIA. He’d learned discipline and he could fight with the best of them thanks to his old sparring partner, Anish. But this threat wasn’t something he could punch. And he would have to be able to see it to use his preternatural ability to neutralize it. He knew that Alia was determined to help Conner and that he was indeed in need of real help, only he could not understand his role in the saving.”

It is true that there is a time for everything. A time to be an asshole, and a time to reap what you sow. This guy, the one that changed his name many times to reflect his stature, the douche of The Black Side of Paradise fame, is back, and his present is pretty bleak. And there’s no weaseling out of this one.

A Portrait of the Artist as a Black Man: “Life is a long time. The prison sentence sometimes allows for the possibility of parole, but the life of the average man, about seventy years, is a significant amount of time. Dae was already in his late twenties when he was sentenced to life in prison, so he did the math in his head to feel better about the situation. At least he’d had twenty three good, free years of doing what he pleased and getting his way.”
