We’re back and have we got some serials for you. It’s really hot this summer, I suggest you pour a cool glass of tea (or lemonade, but don’t mix them because that’s pretentious), put your feet up, and relax into the continuing adventures of your favorite PRL characters. It’s a nice break from all the seriousness in the news and let’s be honest, we can all use a break. So get ready folks, here it is, the continuations of your favorites.

This week:

Maria is in the basement and weird things are happening. So weird in fact, that there is only one man who can make sense of it all. Where is Dr. Eakran when you need him?

Made in America (Series 1): “What are we doing here Donna? The past couple years have been one inexplicable thing after another. First, you confirm mind readers, then we have the patient who’s afflicted by some alien drug, and now this woman shows up here at a top secret facility that no one can access. She put those words in my mouth Donna.”

Kevin is acclimating and excelling, barreling toward his future that is filled with heroics and there is nothing to stand in his way.

The Magician (Amazing Elroy, The Magician Bk. 1): “Days of sweating with Anish in the gym, getting beat up only to stand for more punishment; days of briefings with the Colonel on tactical scenarios in hostage and active shooter situations, then simulations; days concentrating with scientists to test the limits of his abilities led by Parsons who is so giddy to see the thing in his head in action; time melts away and Kevin loses all sense of his past while he is wrapped up in the new life he has stumbled into.”

Sonny goes back home and is met with a surprise that he should see coming a mile away, but nostalgia can make us blind to danger.

Old Man Young and the Bronx Avenger: “Winston Salem feels like the same place that he left, though there are newer versions of restaurant buildings and some businesses that Sonny doesn’t recognize. He doesn’t feel that he has come to a foreign place though; the routes to the places he needs to go are unchanged and it is a welcomed change of scenery. Though NY has become his home, it is good to break the monotony of grey sidewalks and weathered brick and stone that are the tall buildings of the city. Winston Salem is green and it has lush trees and other vegetation in the balmy summer heat that makes sweat slowly trickle down behind his ears. ”

So, does Max know who V.I.V. is or not? Because it definitely seems like he doesn’t. Or maybe he’s drawing out the narrative to give us more shocking and dynamic stories from the town of Ladoga.

V.I.V is Real: “I wouldn’t call them horror stories, but I see why someone might. They’re gruesome tragedies. You ever hear the one about the most beautiful woman in Ladoga who skinned herself alive?”

Eakran is a scientist above all else. He is an alien, but he is a scientist first, and his curiosities have unlocked secrets in human physiology that us humans can’t even fathom. This series takes a walk down memory lane and into his top secret basement where he uses human beings like guinea pigs, and sometimes to tragic result.

Eakran’s Experiments (One-Shots): “Tommy lost his limbs in Iraq when he was stationed there after walking into the home of what he believed to be civilians and setting off a bomb that took his right arm and leg. He told Eakran that he could feel the flesh of both being ripped apart and he was on the verge of insanity because of the constant pain that made it impossible to sleep and do normal things. ”

Next up is a shield of old honor and high distinction.

Shield Wars 1: Free Radicals:  “”They are very interesting,” says Brother/ To his Sister Mars, “they have only known/ Privilege.” Sister challenges, “That’s a small thing/ To say.”
