2. The Americans Part 1
“They are many things,” says one Mars to a
Brother, “naive foremost, unlike few others,
On top for a moment because they are
An ideal: the truest freedom humans know;
Of course that comes with many caveats
For, the price of freedom is freedom
Itself, but access to the pinnacles
To which humans have ascended as well as
Freedom of everyday movement, ownership,
Sovereignty, dignity, self determination,
One can find it all by brandishing that Shield.”
Brother says, “I’m feeling reckless, let us
Have some fun, why don’t we stir the pot.”
One Mars says to a brother, “I don’t see why not.”
3. The Americans Part 2
With so much going for them, it becomes
Incumbent on them to spread the good news
(They take it on themselves), the Mars Pair
Use this to their mischief; stirring the ‘good’
Americans to wage wars of various
Ends. They have to be well equipped with tools
Like guns that they turn on themselves, though guns
Have come to symbolize their freedoms
And they proudly bring them to the oppressed
(The Mars Pair knows that the Americans’
Shield can mean more than dominance and death
But they sow seeds of angst in other Shields,
The Europeans justifiably
Hyperbolize their violence, and take the second seat)
