The Druintes are a very intellectual race. They have evolved into a highly organized society on their planet Druont and for the most part, they operate like a finely tuned machine. The planet Druont has limited habitable lands, even though it is a comfortable distance from its star D’ot, many of Druont’s continents are inhospitable to Druinte life because of the amount of water or extremely dangerous animals that roam the lands. The majority of Drunites live in or around a central city that is a marvel of advanced engineering and for the majority of Druintes, the only religion they know is science. They dedicate their existence to the advancement of technologies that make them the most advanced society in the known universe. Though today the society is distrusting of stories and myths that have no scientific basis, their ancestors had stories to explain the wonders of the universe. There is a small portion of the Druinte population, those who value family and have close relationships, who still tell those stories to honor those who came before and among those stories is this one that speculated on the origin of life on Druinte:

Ancient Druintes believed that the Creator of All Things was of the water because it was the most powerful thing on the planet; they needed it to drink and grow food, and they were able to take food from the oceans and rivers. But water could also be devastating during the rainy seasons when villages were washed away, or by the huge tidal waves that periodically crashed against coastal towns. The Ancient Druintes prayed to the Creator in the water, who was neither male nor female, and they aspired to its perfection. They believed that in the beginning, the Perfect Creator brought its water and all the world’s animals and plants with it from the cold darkness of space to make a home and it lived in the water, always monitoring its creation to punish or reward when necessary.

The Ancient Druintes had no stories of magical or miraculous attributes in a Druinte. All miracles, all mysterious benevolence or malevolent was assigned to the will of the Creator who made the rains and called the deep sea home. There is a story of a group of Ancients who banded together to find the Creator in the deep seas, a task that was truly formidable given the expanse and depth of Druont oceans. It was said that the planet was ravaged by storms for months and the group of Ancients decided to ask the Creator in person for relief from its punishment. The Ancients developed the first vessel capable of deep sea exploration and it was such a feat of engineering that some Druintes hold them up as the model for the engenuity Druintes can achieve through teamwork. Many say the Ancients were successful in the mission, they found the Creator and the rains ceased shortly thereafter, but over time, that part of the story has become much less important and the Ancients are thought to have inspired the Druinte society to become the extremely productive and cooperative population that they are today.
