On an asteroid cluster that revolves around a gas giant planet that circles a star, AEther’s children evolved into The Fhetat. It is a fairly advanced world today, the Fhetatians have technology that allows them to colonize any moving rock in space that is big enough to accommodate their numbers. They can terraform and create artificial atmospheres and they spread across the asteroids in the cluster that surround the gas giant they call Fhet. Since AEther’s meddling that created their race, the Fhetatians have told this story to justify their customs:
Fhet is mighty and he made himself from the darkness surrounding him. The Fhetat S1, one cluster of the asteroid chain that marks the start of the Fhetatian time keeping revolution around Fhet, says that he made himself because the infinite universe needed him. S4 says that the darkness was lonely and craved a mighty companion to fill her void. S13 thinks that Fhet was an accident, the result of random collisions of dust and rocks, that made the best of his situation (AEther smiles on them as the most enlightened). Though his origin is open to interpretation, all Fhetatians know that Fhet set about creation of the Fhetatians to spread his might across the universe. He cast rocks from his body to circle him and on them, he settled 16 men with their women to procreate and rule. His divine edict was simple, “Be mighty, and insist on might in all of your progeny.” The interpretations of this edict vary on each of the Fhetats 16 sections and that is why S10 warred with S11 for hundreds of revolutions, because they did not think that all Fhetatians were meant to be bearers of Fhet’s might. S10 fought to free the S11s who were forced to endure horrible trials of mutilation and starvation from a young age so that they would grow into the brst warriors in the ring around Fhet. It must be mentioned that S11 won the war and S10 is a slave state to them now; maybe they had the right idea. In search of the might of Fhet, Fhetatians all along his ring have developed what many other alien cultures perceived to be barbaric and souless practices, but they thrive. The might of Fhet is strong in them, led by their 16 kings who are the mightiest of them. The crowns of the 16 kings were actually forged by AEther itself, though they do not know this, and they rule their people with the power that was fashioned from the wound of Space. The 16 kings do marvelous things, though some are known as protectors, others as tyrants.
