America is a complex country. It is made up of so many people that it is impossible to have one woman stand as a representative of the populace. The resulting chaos of America’s complexity can be misinterpreted as the cause of the people’s ills, but our real problems, the ones that threaten the fabric of our American existence, are rooted in our psychology, the nebulous telemetry that is the space between our ears. PRL Cosmos presents for you, dear reader, the curious case of Maria, who glimpsed a world far away in the cosmos and was changed by it, then punished for it, relegated to a lunatic class. Maria is the woman of potentials that many have tried to silence. It is left to you to decide if Maria is wise to defy them. Check out the Volume I One-Shots for the Introduction.
Made in America (Series 1): “When Nebuchad stops convulsing he is a bull, Cousins can see it in his eyes. They go wide and it seems that he cannot see anything at all, and he is focusing all of his mental activity on making real the imagined grasses in his mouth that he chews intently by moving his jaw in a steady circular motion.”

His name is Kevin and he will jump out of his skin to avoid interaction with others. He’s been through alot, and it seems that he has some alien tech in his head that is capable of making real his imagination. And he thinks there is an alien hunting him, but maybe that isn’t even the worst thing he should be looking out for.
The Magician (Amazing Elroy, The Magician Bk. 1): “Today, Kevin is living up to his scarlet shame. He is eighteen, and he has not been home to NC in about a year. He had been traveling the Pacific Northwest, but for the past six months, he has called Vancouver, BC, home. Its an innocuous place, Kevin is taking advantage of the fact that no one who knew him would ever guess that he’d be in Canada.”

Last year, Max presented an outtake from the Volume I run of his journal, a story called This and Other Things, about a newsletter that he discovered in his hometown, Ladoga, NC, that has been circulating for years. Max was intrigued by the newsletter and launched an investigation to find the newsletter’s creator, a person or group of people known only as V.I.V. Over the next 12 issues, Max will take us along as he uncovers the source of the newsletter that has intimately documented the highs and lows of a seemingly innocuous town with a lot simmering beneath its genteel surface. Today we start with the encore run of This and Other Things as Rebel Max embarks on a journey to prove once and for all that…
V.I.V is Real (Part 1 of 12): “No one knows who V.I.V. is but it’s something like an honor to be featured in her underground newsletter that finds its way onto magazine racks all over Ladoga before management throws them away or they’re all snatched up by curious readers who look to V.I.V. for the stories she features about noteworthy citizens of the community as well as the abuses and failures of local political and community figures.”

It’s the Legacy Series event of the summer. PRL Serials is proud to present the controversial story of the man, Leeland, who changed his name many times to reflect his stature. It’s a story about a boy who never lost his innocence despite the difficult conditions of his youth, only to become the asshole you wish you’d never met who made you feel self conscious about how many books you read so far this year.
The Black Side of Paradise: “Bradford was usually at odds with his mother and his brother. He can’t remember a time when he liked them and he usually spent time at home lost in reruns of Frasier. He didn’t really understand the humor of the show, but for some reason he watched it religiously and he would fight with his brother for control of the TV when the show was on.”

I am a Black Man. That affords me certain privileges and it also hinders me. You have labels that do the same for you. Soon there will be a war for supremacy; which shield will you choose?
Shield Wars 1: Free Radicals: “The power struggle amongst the Shields goes/ Through everyday, as the women and men/ Bring honor to the mundane…”
