It’s almost Halloween, just a few days away. I hope you have your costume picked out and plenty of candy (for trick-or-treaters or to eat yourself). I’m planning to watch every Simpson’s Treehouse of Horror episode, they did the marathon on Sunday but I slept through most of it and just recorded it on my DVR. Those Simpson’s episodes will keep me company as I finish up the final Halloween Special Issue of 2014; an issue that will include the return and conclusion of Illuminatos, and Part 2 of Silas in Hell Issue 3, as well as the conclusion of the Golem. And Max will present a brutal story from the history of his hometown, Ladoga, NC, involving the long suffering native population. Before that, though, James and myself will present the PRL Poetry Issue 3½ that will go live October 29, 2014.
Tonight, Wes and Max present the third installment of the Golem, and Max gives us Part 1 of the oversized Silas in Hell Issue 3. See you again soon!

He’s back, and he’s in hell again, but then there’s a long flashback in the land of the living.
Silas in Hell (Over-Sized Issue 3 – Crazed and Confused Part 1): “Silas is not always in hell, sometimes he is happy with his family. Usually on holidays, from October through the New Year, his daughters and his wife don’t annoy him as much and they find themselves doing activities together that his daughters refused other times.”

Sarah meets her godmother who brings her ever closer to confrontation with the giant Golem.
The Golem: “When she turned back to the portrait on the wall, Sarah saw a small woman standing under it. A crowd of people surrounded her and they all looked at her with smiles on their faces. It was Crone, taller than Sarah had expected her to be, though she still hunched over on a cane, and everyone was happy to see her and talk with her.”
