Hello hello. Quick note; look for Issue 10 tomorrow, probably around 10pm, and the archives will update the next day. I meant to post yesterday but I got caught in a West Wing marathon and then next thing I know it’s Tuesday. I got to my favorite episode last night around 10pm, Access from season 5, that was like a behind the scenes with Allison Janney’s CJ Cregg. I love Allison Janney, maybe its because she’s tall, or because she’s a really versatile actress (check her out in Drop Dead Gorgeous and Masters of Sex), but whatever the reason, I could watch her all day. I think my obsession with the West Wing is due in large part to the cadence of the dialogue (that wasn’t written or supervised by Aaron Sorkin after season 4 I believe). I’ve discovered over the past 5 years or so that I like listening to people talk about things like politics, so even when the show has problems (the Access episode is a great example because it feels really repetitive like they didn’t do enough interview scenes with Janney and they loop the same sound bites multiple times) I’m still hooked because they say things like caucus and veto and legislative posturing. Its a delight.
